That's crazy cute!My youngest son was huge into wrestling. When he was about 10, we bought tickets and the family went. At one point during a match (I will have to ask who the wrestlers were--big names) my son was so angry, he had his fists clenched and he was shaking. My husband and I had to talk him down. It was insane.
Apart from the ones listed here, I've never been a victim. That book and film was genuinly creepy. I can't understand that kind of mentality. Just liked the book and film.Good evening.
I have always been intrigued by people who perpetrate hoaxes. The human mind boggles me.
Of the many hoaxes I have researched the one committed by Vicki Johnson is absolutely rife with pathology. She claimed to be the adoptive mother of a young boy, Anthony Godby Johnson, horribly abused and dying of AIDS. The boy wrote a memoir A Rock and a Hard Place: One Boy's Triumphant Story. (The publisher was also duped.)
Armistead Maupin, an author and radio show host was completely taken in by the boy and his story. They had a long distance telephone relationship for years.
Mr. Maupin wrote a book titled The Night Listener and a movie (by the same name) was made based on the book.
There was no child.
Fascinating.
If you have any hoaxes in which you were captivated please share.
Peace.
I can’t believe some people fall for those email scams either.
Perhaps after I get all that money for helping some government official needing to move a large amounts of funds out of Nigeria because of the political unrest, I’ll do something with it to help people from falling for those type of things.
I wrestled in high school (note: but not very well). One of my best friends growing up was a national champion wrestler and an Olympic hopeful until something bad happened. To the wrestling community back then, "pro wrestling" was a farce not even to be talked about. My husband still watches wrestling. It drives me nuts. I just don't get it. For him it's totally a Memphis/Jerry Lawler/going to WMCTV station when he was kid nostalgic kind of thing that he can't let go of. Kind of like the ridiculous 70s owl candle in the bathroom.
