They were starting to, then we had snow and low temps again. Things are looking pretty droopy. Not anywhere near what things normally look like middle of May.

  2. We still have daffodils in bloom........LOL

I got brave and planted some Morning Glory seeds the other day. Something tells me I won't see them sprout for a while.

We tied a 125-year record low temperature for the day overnight -- upper 40s. In Texas. In the middle of May.

I did have tulips coming back but I think they were set back. No sign of green on my little rosebushes. They might have perished. :apologetic:

Sunny and 13C/56F today. Forecast says 19C/67F over the weekend. But 30C/86F for Tuesday. If that's true, it will be a super hot day. And I am
off from work the whole weekend and Monday, Tuesday.

  6. Uh oh.......

I think ours made it through. I thought I saw some signs of life, could have been a mirage though.

My butterfly bushes didn't make it. They were huge and gorgeous last year. :flat:

Sorry guys, it has been a lovely fine day for most of the UK - in the high 60s. Supposed to be hotter on Saturday when one of my goddaughters makes her first holy communion.

Walking in short sleeves past leftover patches of snow from last weekend.

    I love this state.

It is 3 degrees Celsius here - we had snow on Tuesday or Wednesday morning? I know it is only coming on Friday but I have already forgotten which day. How weird to wake up to that! (I think it was Wednesday, because I just took the tarp off the tent trailer the day before).

Now we need some rain to wash away all the dust and grit that has accumulated.
Very windy here at times as well

Cooler than it should be...and raining off and on. I don't mind the cool (or the rain, really) though, cause it can be refreshing.

Rained pretty hard here last night. Was going to work in the yard today but everything is too wet. (Darn! ;)) Pretty gloomy still this morning, supposed to get some t-storms late this morning, high of 58 today.

It's a long weekend for most of Canada. It's supposed to be around 15 to 18c with changeable skies all weekend.

I really feel bad that you can't get out today Cat. I guess you'll just have to waste time reading or something.

Haha, I know, right?! I will have the grandbaby this afternoon, he will bring the sun with his smiles!:biggrin2: Sunday looks like it will be yard day. I am going to get some reading time in this weekend though, I am determined to! (On my swing outside, while hubby mows sounds good to me! ;))

I thought I could get my grocery shopping in before the rain. Nope, it was pouring. so I stocked up on a bunch of stuff ...

Walking out, pouring more. Lugging the stuff. Heard sirens... Got to the scene. Now this market is 2 miles from my house.

The cop-man said go this way.... I thanked him and asked about the people ( all ok)

So, now then, I get lost. Mind you - I only drive 95 and the way to work and back, and some back roads. I have not lived here that long.

An hour and a half later - windshield wipers going like mad and ( insert your favorite curses here)

I find my way home. I take now not frozen food out of car, drag it in.. open the door.. Rush to the bathroom..

Puppy is happy! She runs out the open door... yea yea.... Toilet paper in mouth..... Wont give back....

So now I have a wet house, wet dog, clumps of toilet paper everywhere on me, her and outside.

So how is your day going??
