Tropical forecast looking better- maybe, but not relaxing. It will approach some mighty hot waters soon.

What really concerns me about this storm relates to the rest of September . What I don't like about this storm is how it won't die off. It has lasted over two weeks without hitting much land. It reminds me a little of 2004 when those storms wouldn't die out. In 2004, we got hit by Ivan after it went through the panhandle and across the South East, exited out of Georgia or the Carolina's reformed, turned South and nailed us. It just wouldn't go away and that's how these last couple of Atlantic storms seem to be acting.

I'm a long way from any kind of wind from the storm, but we have had a substantial amount of rain from the outer edges of it. We got some rain when it was below us a few days ago and we still seem to be getting some now that it's in the Gulf.
Under tornado watch here. Just had a cell go up US19 a mile away. Hope it did not touch down. You still stay safe!!! It has a huge cloud field.
