It's been very windy here in Ireland for the past 24 hours due to Storm Eleanor. Hatches battened down but there's been power outages around the country and a lot of damage done due to the wind and flooding.
Luckily for us here on the East coast it hasn't been as bad as elsewhere.

Eleanor has arrived this Morning, wish she had stayed...elsewhere.
Its Raining since Sunday

Looked back and the warmest low for the day since Christmas was -1. Today is the first day since Christmas that they think the high will get above 20. Not much relief, though, as we're under a blizzard warning for tomorrow. Forecasters can't seem to agree on how much snow we'll get although a possibility of 12" is being mentioned by most of them. Have I mentioned how much I hate winter? :glare:
....QUICK!....get to the store and pack up on snacks and booze...then do a fast fade into the craft room and close the curtains....:D

We are expecting 32-34 for the next two nights. It's been a few years since we've had temps that low. It's probably been since 2009. That was the winter that thinned out our python and iguana populations. They shut down when it gets under 40.
Clear, 27F/ wind chill 20F or lower, duration 8 hours. Gusts to 20mph. Repeat with lower night temps for next three night. Just hoping the electric stay working!!

Be safe fljoe0 Stay warm.

Our high for Saturday is projected to be -5..the high! has been crazy, lowest so far has been thirty two below zero..not a big fan of the cold! Spidey, you might think of picking up a kerosene heater for emergency use, they put out a lot of heat, you just need to make sure you vent a bit with a window, have a carbon monoxide detector. My heat was out for two weeks during an ice storm, upstate NY,and I used a kerosene heater all that time, even cooked on it..luckily I have natural gas so I could also cook on the stove and have showers..
