You can get internet, but its from a third-party (at least around here), and it can be spotty.

I'm not angry but disturbed by what happened today. Someone that I live with accused me of being a government agent and spying on his roommate. I'm not a government agent and I'm not spying on his roommate. He has accused me of things out of the blue before. One time, he accused me of thinking that he's following me. He's also accused me of calling him a Wa-Ching (a gang) member. He slapped me in the head that time. He's not my roommate but we share the same bathroom and he comes into my room all of the time uninvited through said bathroom. Today, when I went into my room, he was sitting in my chair and glared at me as I put my cup on my desk. I'm afraid that he might punch me out of the blue one of these days.
Can you put a lock on your side of the bathroom door, so that he cannot enter you room from the bathroom? Be careful.
It locks. I locked the bathroom door but he just fiddled with it and opened it one time.

How about a dead bolt and chain lock?
Can you just get Internet and buy an inexpensive HD antenna? We cancelled cable last year and save so much money. We get about 10 local channels with the antenna and they come in clearer than when we had cable. We do also have Netflix and amazon prime for binging and movies. And with Hulu you can watch most new cable shows the day after they air.

Thing is, I don't watch too much TV at all. Just wanted bare basics. Local news, Local stations. Maybe Food network and Lifetime for lazy Saturday. (shut up)
They first offered me a price for that. very reasonable. Then told them bout internet. That upped it 54 bucks in my area. No. no.
Ended up getttin it both below the internet price.
I am convinced if I had the Food network, I would have difficulty leaving the house (or the sofa for that matter!). Whenever they put a season of a Food network show on Netflix, it's binge-watch time. Wish I was a great cook!
Food network was great at one time. Sadly, it has gone way downhill.
Don't leave your keys lying around or he'll make a copy of the deadbolt key. He sounds like a true loon.
And a big butterfly net from the, Paranoid Much? department at Sears...is your lock picker off his meds, or just starting to show signs that he may need them?
Whichever, sounds like someone is in need of a professional evaluation, he does it again you need to call the law dawgs and landlord, that's crazy town your livin' in.

He said that stole his clothes today, which I didn't. I'm going to ask for a roommate change just so I don't have to share the same bathroom with him but I might run into him in the halls or outside, which scares me.
Time for a new roomie and a restraining order.
