Sucks about your shattered ankle. Sucks that you are being treated badly.

No, the bad treatment was over 16 years ago. I am pleased to report they have reformed and are now being perfect angels.

Okay, here is what I posted on Facebook early morning on December 4 from my iPhone. I actually managed to copy it but found no way to paste it anywhere. Friends here a few hours ago brought my laptop, so I can start to catch up now. I have gruesome X-Rays if anyone wants!

This is being sent via my iPhone from a hospital bed. I was walking down the back steps when I slipped on a patch of ice and fell with most of my weight on my left ankle, resulting in three fractures. Both bones were broken and displaced. I was able to crawl inside because my neighbor Dawn White and two of her kids heard me scream and opened the back door. Rode by ambulance to Dayton General Hospital and then underwent two hours of surgery at St. Mary's in Walla Walla performed by Dr. Willard. I will leave my phone on as long as I'm awake but it will be off while I sleep.

Glad to hear you're getting good care and hope you heal quickly!

Today is my son's opening day performance. And he's on crutches (again). No way can he do the ballet. (Honestly, uninjured he cannot do it....he's not a dancer.). So, he's been sick about three weeks, on cough medicine about 1 1/2 weeks. And now crutches.
Healing vibes.

WallaWalla? I thought that place only existed in the Bugs Bunny cartoons!

I hope your son feels better soon and off of the crutches soon too.

Okay, that was weird. I just now (Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.) got a call on my cell phone from a number in Kennewick (which is in my state but not in either county where the accident occurred or where I went for treatment) from a guy saying he was from the Association of Paramedics and Firefighters. I asked how he got the cell number. NO ONE has it--only family, close friends, business contacts, and the like. I thought maybe in my haze and stupor on Thursday evening (six days ago, right after breaking my leg) I gave it to the ambulance crew and the association was calling to see how they did. When I asked how he got the number the line went dead. I called the number back and got a message saying it was not in service! What the. Twilight Zone.
