Because I have a child who makes stupid choices. Her way of life really bothers me.Anyway her daughters are being adopted by my oldest daughter and her family .So my daughter( wild child ) as I choose to call her. Calls me last night and says mom,I want to tell you something. I say oh really your going to jail. Yep maybe. She has an addiction history, now clean for about a year and a half. Has gone to smoking pot and of course got caught. It was as if she was proud of that. Not an issue will get 48 hrs, in jail.community service and a fine. They may require her to go to treatment again.I think her whole brush off, seeing it as no big deal got to me more than anything. I can not wait for the adoption process to be complete. The two girls (my Grandaughters) deserve their new life free of us this drama. We adopted their brother before they were born and never regret it. Just health reasons couldn't adopt them ourselves.
we cannot choose our childrens' paths in life ... they have to find their way ..... and that includes making bad detours .. my heart goes out to you .... I am glad your oldest daughter is able to adopt them ...

I'm not angry today... I'm FURIOUS!!!! If regular angry was the size of earth, my level of current angry could not be contained in the universe, both known and unknown

Here is my deal: Today at 10.00 am tickets went on sale for Pinkpop 2014, a festival I frequent whenever I can. It's not always sold out, but even if it is, that takes about a week for that to happen. But NOOOOOOO, this year was SPECIAL. This year the $*^@#$*&#^$*#^Rolling Stones announced they will be playing the first day of the festival...

At 11.00 am there were NO MORE tickets for saturday, and NO more tickets for the whole weekend. ONE HOUR was all it took. "Well", you say, "good for all the Stones fans that got in, right?" WRONG!!!

Because those very tickets that FLEW out this morning are all on the internet right now. A normal daypass is € 90,00. They are being sold for € 270,00 and more right now. Normal weekendpasses were € 175 for 3 days plus camping, and guess what THOSE are doing right now... Yeah. Much more than I can or want to pay.

God***n ticketscamming SoB's that bought every damn ticket just to sell them at a bizarre profit prevented me and my wife to enjoy 3 days of fun and music...

Furthermore, I really really feel for the other artists... All these people are just buying the tickets to go see the Stones, they will be walking around going:
"Who are these guys?"
"Ehm, let me check the program... Yes, says here they are called Epica... They have been around for over 12 years apparently".
"Hmm. Too loud for me. Let's go chill on the camping until' it's time for the Stones to play. Too bad all they had left were the weekendtickets: As if we're really staying for these other crap bands, they're al so loud and scary looking"
"Hahahaha"

I am always amazed at how many people like to talk the talk about helping others, but seem to turn a blind eye when actually asked to help.
Not sure angry is the right word, but definitely disappointed in many of my fellow humans today.

I think I got ripped off by the dentist.

Prior to getting my son's wisdom teeth pulled, an estimate was sent to the insurance company. WhenI paid the bill yesterday it was about the amount I remembered, but when I was filing it with the estimate....the portion paid by the insurance company went down about $100. But the portion paid by us went up about $15. Makes no sense. Ours should have gone down proportionately with the insurance.

You could call the insurance company. If you have a copy of the original estimate you could perhaps fax or email it to someone you talk to. If you can't contact anyone by phone you should be able to find an email address send the copy to as an attachment. They might do something for you. Itt can't hurt.

Do you have to pay a once a year premium? That is the only reason that I can think of, but since you are in Canada (like me) I am not sure what kind of coverage you have.

I have Blue Cross through work and Sun Life left over from when I was in the military and then just kept the coverage going. They should pay about 80% of the total cost, I think?

I'm trying to help a friend win a handicap accessible van. I'm shocked at how many folks in our community have said "anything I can do..."
and then don't have time. It's extremely disheartening.
Maybe I'm just beginning to lose faith in humanity.....I dunno.
Sorry to hear this. Everyone is always so busy, with "so much on their plates" and it is often harder to get people to give up some of their free time when they would rather just give a one time donation.
So is this a contest, then? Good luck Sundrop!

Don't lose faith in humanity or what humans are capable of. Forget the humans who prove themselves untrustworthy. Kudos for trying to help. It is not in vain.

It would take literally less than 5 minutes of their time, hence by disappointment

That's one of my biggest gripes- those that say "yes" when asked if they can help, then forgot about it and get on with their own lives. Just say "No". At least then one can look for other help. Holding positive vibes your friend will win the handicap accessible van.

Not really angry today...just saw that Spidey had made an entry on the thread, and couldn't imagine her ever being angry, at any time..so my curiosity was piqued, haha..:smile2:

Very minor in comparison to all the things that could be anger-inducing, but.....

On a looong drive home, people who go slow, hog the left lane, until you go to pass them on the right, and then speed up. Grrrrrr.

Grandpa, I do this every day, and don't consider it minor...I guess because I have a long commute to and from work.
After a while, it certainly wears on one. I wish I could flash a neon sign from my car as I pass them on the right that reads, "GET IN THE RIGHT LANE WHERE
YOU BELONG." But that would ruin the aesthetics of my car...
I find it especially tiresome with truckers who seem like they think they own the road and don't mind being discourteous to us "four-wheelers."
