Are there any businesses worse to deal with than a phone company? I've had a few phone company rants in this thread before and here we go with another. This one is so stupid, it's hard to believe.

I switched wireless phone service from Sprint to AT&T. When I was with Sprint, I opted out of paper billing and did all of my bill receiving and paying online. When I cancelled my Sprint service, they immediately terminated my online account. Problem is, I still had one more bill coming. Anyway, a few days after my cancellation of service, I got an e-mail telling me that my final bill was ready. I went to the site to pay it and could not log in. I called Sprint to see if they could e-mail me a bill. They told me (this is classic) that they could not e-mail me a bill. I'm not sure why they couldn't use e-mail so I told them to mail it to me. They acted like they had no record of my address and I had to give them that so they could mail a bill. I've been waiting 6 weeks, have called 3 more times and I still haven't got a bill in the mail but I get e-mails telling me I need to pay my past due account (they can e-mail me a past due notice but not a bill). How hard is it to send me a bill?

People get spiteful. Where is the professional customer service? Will this affect your credit rating? Write a letter to the TOP! Just bypass everyone and go to the CEO of the company. I've had to do this and I always see results. The big guy sitting on the top of the pile doesn't want to be chastised. He will make sure it gets taken care of.

I have a total amount (it's on the e-mails they send) and I have their address so I could send a check in if I wanted to but I really want to see the bill first because I terminated a couple of accounts early and have early termination fees (which I expect) so I really want to look at it before I pay it so I can see what those charges are. The total they send looks reasonable but at this point, I'm determined that I am going to make them send me one. It's like a staring contest now. :biggrin2:

I just don't have trouble with anyone else like I do phone companies.

I bought a phone card at Walmart the other day and the cashier didn't activate it. Not Walmart's blowing me smoke about it because I don't have the receipt 4 days later. Doesn't matter. I will not pay twice for the same month of service because their cashier didn't do her job.

Because I have a child who makes stupid choices. Her way of life really bothers me.Anyway her daughters are being adopted by my oldest daughter and her family .So my daughter( wild child ) as I choose to call her. Calls me last night and says mom,I want to tell you something. I say oh really your going to jail. Yep maybe. She has an addiction history, now clean for about a year and a half. Has gone to smoking pot and of course got caught. It was as if she was proud of that. Not an issue will get 48 hrs, in jail.community service and a fine. They may require her to go to treatment again.I think her whole brush off, seeing it as no big deal got to me more than anything. I can not wait for the adoption process to be complete. The two girls (my Grandaughters) deserve their new life free of us this drama. We adopted their brother before they were born and never regret it. Just health reasons couldn't adopt them ourselves.

Addiction is the most wicked bitch that ever existed. She never goes away once she's got hold, and everyone around her pays. I'm so very sorry you have to go through this, KFF. Hug your grandbabies--they're lucky to have you and their aunt. {{{KFF}}}

I'm sorry to hear about this - she just can't get any clarity on her situation - addiction skews your point of view. Her children are blessed and lucky to have an aunt and grandmother looking out for them and making their lives better.

Once, I bought 4 pair of pants at Macy's and when I got them home, I discovered that one pair still had that plastic security tag on it. I got my receipt out and checked it and all 4 pair were on the receipt. So I took the pair of pants back to the store with the receipt to get the tag removed. The cashier had to call the manager over and the manager told me there was no way I could have left the store with that security tag on the pants (I guess she was accusing me of stealing them). I kept telling her that I had paid for them and that they were on the receipt. She checked the receipt and then called over some other store people to look and they said that I was legit. This manager then grudgingly removed the tag for me and handed the pants to me but I could see in her face that she thought I had stolen them. She really ticked me off.

BTW - I got my Sprint bill in the mail yesterday (referencing a post from a couple days ago). It only took 6 weeks for them to mail me a bill.

This happens to us all the time at Belk. The security tag doesn't trigger the alarm once it's inside the bag. We don't even call a manager for authorization to remove it anymore....if it's on the receipt, it's legit

i am angry because of all the dogs/pups bought at christmas at being drowned or strayed. we have a place called Dog trust and in 2 days after christmas they brought in 120 yes 120 in 2 days strayed. I am angry when i see people mistreating animals(especially dogs.) a dog or animal is a responsiblity they need looking after.

A young man lost his life in our area, due to bullying..this kind of thing is just maddening, the poor kid..:disturbed:
[/quoteI am sorry to hear that. 2 years ago a girl c15 took her own life due to cybe-bullying, she was getting hate e-mail and she couldn't take any more and she hung herself. Two weeks later her sister 13 took her own life, because she was so close to her sister and she missed her. Can you imagine, how that family are feeling. not one child but two. Bullying is cowardly.

This happened to me at Kohl's, but I didn't realize it until a few hours before I was to wear the security-tagged skirt to a wedding.
I didn't have time to go back to Kohl's to get the tag removed, so I spent the next few hours desperately trying to remove that blankin tag.
Finally, I got my husband's Dremel tool and got it off, but snagged the material a little. Now, I check every item carefully before leaving the store.

Very minor in comparison to all the things that could be anger-inducing, but.....

On a looong drive home, people who go slow, hog the left lane, until you go to pass them on the right, and then speed up. Grrrrrr.

(For our friends in GB, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and so on, just switch the left-right reference.)
