Wonderful news! Congratulations!! November is a great time to have a baby - right there between the end of the regular football season and the beginning of bowl games. The election will be over. Right around family holidays and gatherings! Just perfect in all ways! Somehow I think FaceTime and Skype just won't be enough for you - holding babies is the best. Girls are fun to dress, boys are fun to play with - all their noises and superhero costumes! Either way you're going to have a blast! Have you thought about what you want to be called? My mom is Grammy, the Ogre's mom chose Grandmother. edit: I just saw you will be Nana!

My older daughter's birthday is November 16th. My due date was October 26 but was probably better for her to be born closer to Thanksgiving than Halloween. (Veteran's Day would have been a whole lot better at the time as I was quite tired of being pregnant by that point.) I always got into making elaborate costumes for the kids for Halloween and I would have been stressed out if I'd had to have a birthday party right around the same time.

It didn't matter to me so gave my daughter the choice and she picked Nana as that's what my mom wanted to be called. I'd called my grandmother Grammie so Nana sounded a bit strange to my ears at first but eventually got used to it.

That's awesome news, Ms. Mod!!!WoooHoooooooo!!

You want me to show you how to knit some baby booties?

Thanks! Maybe I should ask Sunny first. ;;D

The sweater he knitted for me was warm, but it was awfully itchy. I've just recently gotten rid of the hives.........and I never figured out why it had a tail.

Itchy? You must have sensitive skin. Try exfoliating with some sandpaper before wearing it again....

And I told you the tail was for storage.........

I knew I could count on you to give me good advice. Looks like I'll be knitting them on my own. ;)

That just reminded me that I guess I'll be back at Toys 'R Us in a year or two after not having to cross its threshold for a couple decades. I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing.
May I suggest you take a pre walk through in order to avoid the sticker shock of prices. The world of pricing moved on since you last bought toys!

Probably best I don't or I'll be known as the grandmother who gives the "dumb gifts".

Ms.Mod be like........"I'm not paying $19.99 for that Farmer Says toy, the baby can borrow Out of Order's.........."

I may take you up on that. And you're a lot closer than I am!
