Be careful, if you hear anything repeated enough you will begin to believe it!

I have many extra SK paperbacks (most in pretty good condition) that I would be happy to send to you for your son. Just PM me the books you think your son would enjoy, and I will mail you the ones I have. :)
You are so sweet! I picked up a couple the other day (Different Seasons and Cujo). I'll ask him which he wants to read--I can't remember for the life of me what he's already read (aside from UtD. I always remember that, because he LOVED it and I found that unfathomable--lol).

It must be great to become a grandparent for the first time. I will never experience that; BUT, I AM a great uncle, for the first time! Close enough...I'll take it. I get to see him in a couple of weeks. It sucks, sometimes, living 650 miles from family.

Enjoy spoiling the grand!

Prom is one of the things I really like about my son's school. You know how most schools crown a King and Queen? Well, at his school, it's a bit different.

They do crown a King and Queen, but there is also a King and King couple, a Queen and Queen couple. A Bro-King couple and a Wo-Queen couple. (Bro and Wo couples are same-sex besties, not romantically involved.)

Thursday driving home from work I was waiting at a red light, two young girls walked across the street in front of my car. One girl was wearing red high-top tennis shoes with big black ribbony laces and the other was wearing black high-top tennis shoes with big red ribbony laces, they were both wearing jeans and the one with red shoes wore a black t-shirt and the other in black shoes was wearing a red t-shirt. They were doing this weird walk, like sashaying into each other's footsteps with their arms linked at the elbow. They were giggling the whole time and that kind of made me happy. Kids are nuts and it's okay.

Not to worry. I still don't believe the Earth was created in 6 days. BTW The show was a blast to watch.
I recorded them. I got caught up in Mysteries at the National Parks. This one was about Mt. Shasta - which of course made me think of Shasta. It got really weird with the demon grandma asking the kid to poop on her paper.

I am happy that I get to come to this board and post, if only for a little while today.

I am off to work now - see you all later!

I miss silky walking like that. Though once in a while I get away with doing it with my granddaughter. Sometimes people look at us weird, but she's to young to care, and I'm old enough to know I don't care.

I just want to say, no matter what you think of me-- like me, can't stand me, think I'm an idiot --whatever. I want you guys to know that I am very protective of this community and all of you here.

And that's not saying we don't get on each other's very last nerve sometimes, we're like brothers and sisters that way. But we all usually can find some common ground and appreciation for each other in one thread or another on this board. And things are cyclic. Round and round we go and each lap is different.

I just wanted you all to know that.
Beautiful. Perfectly said.
