Happy you guys are here. I am also stricken off and on with the abovementioned reading block, lately more on than off. Previous to recent national events, I thought the main problem was my life being a train wreck and not keeping up with others. I couldn't concentrate on reading because I could not sufficiently suppress worrying how much I sucked for not having written the books I read or some equivalent as good or better, and thinking how I shouldn't be reading but trying to figure some remedy for my horrible situation which quite frankly if everyone else is supposed to be so much smarter than I am they would have figured out by now had it existed, but to give up thinking about it would be to admit no hope whatsoever in which case I might as well just die now, not hang around reading.

Now, the entire world is, or soon will be, an utter train wreck worse perhaps than we can imagine, and I don't know whether that is better, or worse. On the one hand, no one will be able to help me as they will be struggling if not utterly crushed. On the other hand, no one can point fingers at me for being a loser if everyone else dies too, and if we're all dead, no fingers left to point! I had no chance before and even less now. I don't know at what point they will get around to destroying me, and keep hoping some brilliant person will come up with a workable means of survival, but I am sure not counting on it. But if someone does I'll be over the moon delighted, and if they at least really try, well, I will appreciate that they gave it a good try and maybe I can die in peace knowing we tried our best and it was not enough.

Actually my big hope now is after the first wave of deaths there'll be such an outcry they won't get around to killing me, and may even enact some new laws to prevent such tragedies in future. Wishful thinking, but still!

I'm pretty sure there are already laws enacted to prevent "them" from killing you.

The funny thing about "laws," though, is that they only work if people obey them.

And ... you know ... people are funny.

I say that all the time.

It was my birthday last 19th. One day after Terry. Now I have to go to Church later today.
Sorry we missed your birthday

Does your husband wear a kilt? He's from Scotland, I know they don't wear it all the time but on some formal occasions they wear it like at Highland games and such.
Due to having cancer, going through surgery and being unable to eat he lost a lot of weight
I'm on my phone so I'll see if I can post an old picture
