morgan-a granny square is not difficult. Could you follow a video showing each step? The hat is only 5 squares. I used to make square during breaks and then make Christmas stocking. I can try to find you a video.
Those are SUPER cute - I would make them if I could! :)

This one has a strange accent - possibly Aussie or NZ:

The first five or so minutes will give you the basic idea - good luck!

By the time she gets to around 8:40, she is already on the second round - it is quite easy to make a granny square!

Here is a video:

I used to do that when I was little. Forgot all about it. My mom used to. And my friend's grandmother taught us. I used to like the shiny crochet needles.

I could probably do one decent long chain now.

We decorated our tree tonight! It is so pretty! Kat, and Kaden helped. Kat had a lot of balls to the bottom! Karen fixed it though. I was doing a video of it, and it was fun to watch the kids decorate their first tree. :)
That is precious! Little kids see the magic in everything!

At last I am home and already entertained two visitors, besides two neighbors, one who brought me home and the other looked in! They stayed to make sure how much I could do myself before leaving!
Nice to hear that people are taking care and are concerned about you - I hope you heal well and are "up and around" in no time :encouragement::thumbs_up::star:

I am happy today because the Convention and Visitors Bureau is selling my crocheted hats. I was able to get a dozen done in the last few weeks and used the money to help out someone in need. They have a Christmas open house tomorrow, and I pray they are all sold so I can continue to make and sell them for a little extra money.
That is lovely and selfless! I pray they sell out and everyone in town wants two - one to wear and one to give!

I'm happy tonight because at least one person remembered not to forget today.

That ... and there are no more damn sandwiches to make.
Yay Pucker! I don't know what you're talking about, but it must have been important and I'm glad someone remembered it was important to you!
Did you work the soup kitchen? I've been on that sandwich making production line - but I'm kind of a nerd, I like it.

I am over the moon thrilled for you that you all are having a tree this year! Those kids must be loving it - they're still young enough that it's magic for them!

not_nadine - sounds like so many good things are going on for you these days! Wonderful, wonderful news!

I'm happy the Ogre went out and bought a pre-lit artificial tree. Real ones are a lot of work, and though my Christmas joy is much better this year, there's still so much to do - I have so say I've been stressing a bit about it all. So at least I don't have to wrap lights around it. We'll get it decorated today maybe. Or maybe not, maybe a little at a time all week long. And he bought me some lovely cardinal ornaments. My cardinals have left the yard, or they are coming by when I'm not around to see them. I love them so much. They're going to make me very happy. I don't say it enough, but Ogre that he is, he is actually quite a wonderful husband. My hero in so many ways.

Our tree! The gifts under it are only a part of them. The rest are in the attic. Karen is bringing them down Christmas Eve. That 42" TV is up there!
