I Learned Something New Today

This isn't something I learned real recently. It's been about 10 years ago. I was watching Ellen and one of the guests said they felt stupid that they had not realized that the arrow on the gas gauge on the dash of the car was indicating which side the "gas tank fill hole" was. I said, well I'll be damned. One less thing to be buggered with remembering. Thanks Universe, thanks Ellen Show.

Today, right now in fact, after a cursory check of the internet. I found that most people don't know for sure what the "gas tank fill hole" is actually called. The consensus seems to be leaning toward calling it a"gas hole."
