This put a smile on my face yesterday. Becky and I took a cab to city centre and the driver, a young Sikh man, was so very excited about the holiday. He told us that the best lights were on Whyte Ave and he did the Candycane walk because he loves it. Becky puts up the outside lights ....that is her big joy for xmas but she does not really celebrate much. She does not eat meat so no turkey. He told her she should enjoy the holidays because they are so very beautiful. His excitement reminded me of a child's . So refreshing.

...since we all seem to have adopted this Thread for the posting of mutual holiday wishes, I will add my own here-rather than creating a new one.....as you all know-I'm the Resident Village Idiot of the SKMB...I rarely take much seriously on here, because I enjoy making people smile if I can...I will however, staunchly defend and rush to the aid of any of my family here that I feel are being maligned by trolls and asshats-and have even been known to be serious on rare occasion...having blabbered about that, I must say that I don't have the eloquence of words of a Gpa or a Srbo or many others, but I do speak from the heart...and from there I say, may it be a holiday filled with love and laughter...THAT'S what matters, nothing else...celebrate according to your beliefs, but most of all-hug those nearest and dearest to you, for one never knows when that chance may ever come again...this is supposed to be a season of magic, and the wonder and miracle comes not from some unknowable source-but from our very own hearts and minds...I wish you the utmost happiness and please know I truly do love each and everyone of you...(even those who haven't sent me cookies)....

It's so interesting that you post about the troll/asshats, as earlier tonight I was thinking about a couple of them who I'd taken the pleasure of taking to task for attacking this or that member. God help me, but sometimes I miss them. I just so perversely enjoy messing with them.

Great post GNT, well done.:smile:

You'd just have to make sure to get gluten free graham crackers as the usual off-the-shelf ones are made with wheat flour.
Okie dokie! :encouragement::cheerful::snowman:
(I actually do not know anyone with gluten sensitivity but that is good to know - thank you). My son is allergic to peanuts but not extremely so).

p.s. - I got "Revival" yesterday and it is truly beautiful - what a cool cover!
