We're trading tomatoes! You can have mine, I'll have your's. Wrap them well, send them to me.I am bummed today because the corn is not ready, and Holly wants to compare tomatoes, and I tried on a bathing suit that I ordered online.
Need more tomatoes.
You got no bacon? That is a big bummer. That is enough to get me out to the grocery store asap.....Bacon......thank you, that is all....

I love that dog. Poor guy.
Do you have tomatoes already? Just no corn? Or neither? When will you get watermelon? Everything seems late this year.
Or maybe I'm just Jonesing really really bad.
Oh that looks sooooooo tasty. Just the way I like it.
My aunt had a garden in New Jersey. Great green peppers, I remember as a kid.Jersey tomatoes are acid free in taste. Just smoothness and taste only Jersey sand can provide.
Corn will not be available yet from my garden. It was only put in the last of May....it is when things are planted here. Corn is usually a late crop. When is this Jersey corn and Tomatoes coming in, Spidey? Already jonesin for the farm stands.
Good idea. The problem with corn on cob is that people tend to overcook it. Boil for a little while is all. Spread liberally with butter, garlic, salt and pepper.I hear you,I haven't had miracle whip since being a kid..but it worked back then it is a different taste from hellman's..have you heard of cooler corn? You pour boiling water over ears of corn in your standard or small cooler, close it,let it sit for ten or fifteen minutes, and done to perfection and will keep it hot for cookouts..
Just omg.
Thanks Kingricefan going to keep that in mind this summer. YUMMMY!The best way to grill corn is to pull down the husks, slather it with butter, pull the husks back up to cover the ear and place them on the grill. Leaving the husks on seals in the moisture!!
We just throw 'em in the coals as is and dig 'em out after a while. Good eats! The best way to grill corn is to pull down the husks, slather it with butter, pull the husks back up to cover the ear and place them on the grill. Leaving the husks on seals in the moisture!!
We do mayo, chili powder, lime, and cotija cheese. Try it!Just omg.
My Hispanic boyfriend made a version of this for me several weeks ago. He boiled corn in the husk with some some herb leaves, chicken bouillon and salt for a long time. Slathered it in mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese and red pepper. Took him forever to get me to even try it...was the best stuff I've ever eaten. I had never heard of it. I took pictures coz it was so good.
What do you do when everything that has to happen for you to retain any hope in this world is so unlikely as to be virtually impossible?
(((80sFan ))) calming vibes.Bummed today because kiddo had such a meltdown* this morning, I couldn't even put him on his bus.
* meltdown does not equal temper tantrum. Meltdown takes on a whole different personality. His pupils dilate, he exhibits super human strength (he is tiny, but it takes at least 2 adults to restrain him during a meltdown) and there is nothing that can stop it until he does. The worst part is you never know how long it will last.
This one lasted 92 minutes.
Now playing quietly in his room like nothing even hapened, but that isn't a guarantee that there won't be more.
I just keep praying.
