(.....yesssush! A pox on them! )Thanks Ms. Mod. It's the latter. Although, without me, the company is sure to fail.

So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family. I hope your ear is better too.My cousin died. He was 32. The funeral is on Saturday.
That’s probably why I’m getting another ear infection.
Too much emotional stress and school.
I have to see an ENT specialist next week.
Thanks GNTLGNT. Those are wise words and good advice. Right now I am just letting everything sink in and, starting next Monday, I will dust myself off and see what the future will bring. I am not set financially but am better off due to my longevity and severance. I think I may have a few beanie babies in a box in the basement from the days when the grandkids had sleepovers. Maybe those will be worth a couple of million by now.....old friend, I am so sorry.....no-one deserves this when they've given so much of themselves to a business, but sadly-their is no loyalty to employees like there used to be....you and I are the same age, and it's frightening for sure......unless you are well set financially, I wouldn't take an early retirement and drain your resources.....look into local job services, because if your area is anything like mine-employers are starved for older, reliable workers-instead of idiots that can't pass a piss test or understand they have to SHOW UP for work to get a paycheck......
Healing vibes for Miska. Prayers for all of you.Keep us updated. Our fury friends are such a part of our families and our hearts. Our dog Miska had a grape-sized growth removed from her leg two weeks ago, we went in to have the stitches removed and got the biopsy results, she has a form of cancer called a soft tissue sarcoma. We are pretty upset but there is some good news: it's the least aggressive form and least likely to metastacize, but we're going to have to keep a very close eye on it because they weren't able to get all of it out, due to how close it is to a blood vessel. If it comes back, we'd have to decide whether to go radiation or amputation, but there's always a chance it won't come back.

Half of me is dancing with joy, Out of Order, but the other half is a bit worried now that the security routine is gone.Well, that just sucks, mal.
Sometimes that's all you can do...I think it's a good sign that you're excited on top of being worried, because you recognize a positive change could come out of this. Thanks osnafrank. I think I panicked a bit on the way home today and put down a $600.00 deposit for a typewriter repair course.Very sorry to hear this (((mal)))
Hope you can find a new company that appreciate your experience and knowledge.
Sending positive and calming vibes.
Is she advanced in age?......dogs and cats alike get stuff like that when they are older. But very often live on comfortably. Praying for Miska and that it won't come back. She is a member of a great family. Thanks Dana Jean. I hope you are right. Right now I've got my sights set on ditch digging or dishwashing. Although I've been in the corporarium for over 25 years I always found more honour and truth in the trenches.Somebody will snap you right up. You have a great sense of humor, you are kind to others, obviously smart. You'll be fine.
I don't know about that wolfie. I'm actually quite anti-social and uncle to a neice.Smart??Funny??Kind??......the mal is a god!
You are right Miss Dana delightful Jean, he will be snapped up for a better position by someone smart enough to see his awwwrrrrsomeness.
She is pushing nine years old. As an American Eskimo she should have several years ahead of her. We're going to do whatever it takes to make sure she's comfortable, she's like my third daughter. Is she advanced in age?......dogs and cats alike get stuff like that when they are older. Hoping and praying for the very best for you.
You read my mind mjs9153. I'm actually on my third drink and the guitar amp in the basement is warming up. Pretty soon I'm going to sound like Wayne Newton (if he was drunk and untalented). That sucks!! But you are smart as a whip, and will land firmly on your feet.. in the meantime, it's almost St Patrick's Day weekend, so hoist a few well deserved brews, reflect on your past accomplishments and moments at work, and next week is soon enough to start thinking of a new job..

Prayers for an even better job and that this will be a blessing in disguise. In the meantime - Cheers! Enjoy the well deserved drinks and have a good weekend.

I hope things work out well. I had to put my corgie down years ago because of incurable disease. I still feel bad about that. My first and last dog. My fingers are crossed for a good recovery and obliteration of the cancer.
