I`m so tired of all this dying, of the terror attacks, of no love, people hating on each other...
You see how short life is?
What are we spending it on?

I know you all know this, but still, I gotta say it again : Go and hug your loved ones, tell them you love them, call your parents, call your brothers and sisters, call friends, drop grudges, forgive, if you can...
Live life, be silly, laugh without reason, sing all the time, say Hi to strangers, feed a stray dog, feed a pigeon, catch the rainbow, bask in the glory of the sun, roll around in wet snow...
Because, before you blink twice....it`s all gone and all what`s gonna be left is ashes and dust..

Y'all...... I have to tell you, his death has hit me much harder than I thought.
I have so many memories that I associate with so much of Prince's music. I remember calling the local radio station 100 times a day on Saturday afternoons, and requesting 1999.......rollerskating to Little Red Corvette....... singing Purple Rain with my brother...... where I was the first time I heard Raspberry Beret.......watching his performance at the Superbowl...... and many more.
The man was a musical genius, the likes of which we might not experience again.
It's amazing to think that I can have such a love and appreciation for someone I've never knew personally, but it's there inside me.

Ditto. He's been a part of my life for so long--since Prince, so 1979. Come to think of it, that was the same year I picked up Night Shift; I was 12. Now I'm almost 49, and both artists have been a big, glowing part of my life for nearly 4 decades. In a weird way, they helped shape who I am today. Prince wore what he wanted to wear, said what he wanted to say, did what he wanted to do, and that was electrifying. He was an artist for the weirdos: he looked at everyone who said 'You can't do...' or 'You look ridiculous' or 'Real men don't wear..." and said, 'Who TF cares what you think?' That's POWER to a jr. high kid! He was fearless and talented and beautiful, and I'll miss him so very much.
