We had 25 people for Thanksgiving dinner. Bunch of vultures. No leftovers except for a couple slices of ham, a few yams, some sticky rice, a little baked beans and half a pumpkin pie. Went through 2 turkeys (16 pounds each), a 20 pound ham, 10 pounds of lasagna, 10 pounds of potatoes, a big pan of filling, bacon wrapped scallops, deviled eggs, and all kinds of vegetables and desserts. Guests even brought their own containers to take stuff home. The house was trashed and it took us two days to clean up. I’m getting too dang old for this.

One family member brought 4 kids from another family that wouldn’t have gotten a Thanksgiving dinner. They were excited to see so much food and ate everything. The youngest kid kept asking if he could have this and that. Finally, I told him he could have anything he wanted until he explodes. Seeing those kids enjoy all the food made me feel good.

If it did, it shrank again with all the clean up, about 50 half-filled soda cans, and lack of leftovers. :)

I had to laugh at the one teenage girl. She was less than 5 foot tall and very skinny. But every time I saw her she was chowing down on full plates of food. And every one of them had a big helping of bean casserole (yuck!). I think she ate half her own weight in food. After dinner I noticed her on the loveseat sleeping her big meal off. When she woke up she got herself a full plate of desserts. The kids were brought by my wife’s old hippie aunt who thinks our house is some sort of commune. When the kids left they thanked us and said... ‘See you next year.” I guess next year I may have to go with 3 turkeys. :facepalm_smiley:

BrodyDog in Thanksgiving attire.

Of course this was before he stole a whole loaf of cherry nut bread off the counter and ate it. Only to "re-gift" it yesterday afternoon while I was on a video session for school :(
Cute, Thanksgiving was at grandparents house this year and their cats are quite anti-social so nobody was around to steal food this time
