Just finished the fireman,and it did not disappoint! Great book great story i couldnt put it down. Well done, i never got bored it kept me interested through the whole thing,he just keeps getting better.

She makes a passing reference to it on her Facebook page. Something along the lines of wanting to read it. Her Twitter page actually hurts my head to look at but that is another story. I wonder if Joe had to get her permission? It is a very strange choice as I doubt almost anyone remembers her.

I think he borrowed one of Stephen's old characters. He writes very much like his father did years ago.

My, what wonderful characters!!!!!! He SHINES!!!!! I am so happy with this book. He has a new fan.
The only complaint I have is the shape of the book. Awkward soft cover with these flaps at the end, does not make a comfortable read lol.
Well, I am finished. So many references to Uncle Steve's stories....wow. The only disappointment I have is that I have finished it. Oh yes, please do not put housepets in stories, you writer guys and gals. I have to worry about them throughout the story if you do. 
Finally finished The Fireman. I didn't love it as much as many of you did. I started out loving it, but it went on for too long and I never felt connected to any of the characters other than Renee. Don't get me wrong, I liked it a lot, but NOS4A2 is still my favorite of Joe's novels; The Fireman comes in second. I think my high hopes colored my reading of it.
