...19 out of 20, I screwed up on the first single after his death...I was DJ'ing back then-and everytime I turned around there was a "new " Lennon cut to play-so it got a bit confusing....

That is cool - I saw a documentary. He took Yoko Ono to court and fought with her for years over John Lennon's will. She finally settled out of court for a hefty amount (if I remember correctly).
So what did he do with the money? He used it to buy memorabilia about his Dad. I guess he never had the benefit of seeing his father much when he was growing up.
Yeah, he didn't act very well towards Cynthia, his first wife, and Julian, their son.
Yeah, I went around all day Friday telling people that, ending at a Walmart where I pointed out he'd be older than anyone in the immediate vicinity (it was late enough that the old folks had gone home!)

I remember when the issue came up, a radio DJ berating Yoko because she had cut Julian off with a sum that amounted to chump change, then was auctioning John's possessions and told Julian if he wanted any, he could show up and compete with the other bidders. The DJ rightly said she could and should do better!
Still no grandchildren, although Sean is 40 and Julian is 52!
