Okay........Okay!!!

DiO?

You can come back when The Phillies win The World Series.......;;D

Wanted to get one thing in... Thanks for the kind words everyone, but it’s only a break. You can’t get rid of me that easily. Think of it as a vacation for everyone. :)

(And OoO, i think I’ll be dead before either of those happen. :()
This is something DiO doesn't know about me. I am actually still technically a Phillies employee, but haven't done any work for them in a few years. The last time I did do any substantial amount, they won the Series. So I guess we know what they need... :p

Ok hipmamajen... I have 2 questions after reading your post...

1. I still do not know, beyond the coolness I have known from you here, what exactly makes you "hip". Please elaborate.
2. Why did you use the British spelling for the word "recognize"? I am fairly sure that will negate whatever you expound in relation to query #1.

But according to your "Poopstorm Involvement Frequency Quotient" or PIFQ, I am good because I have only been involved in about half of them over the years. Whew! :p

Well, when people think of me they often think immediately of Hot Topics. I don’t understand why if the Hot Topics area makes people uncomfortable, or certain people do, it isn’t just avoided and the people just ignored. I tired to find out if I was part of the problem. Maybe those people I communicated with are just too kind, because I still see posts like this keep coming up, and I can’t help but think some of it is directed at me. I know there are times a post I make causes things to spiral downward and out of control. I might not be the problem, but I obviously contribute to it. Perhaps I should take a time out from the SKMB and see if things cool off. I don’t want to be the cause of people leaving. And I do feel sorry for the mods being forced to read what transpires from my posts. If nothing else, taking some time off would be an affirmation one way or the other to see if it’s me that's the problem.
...yeah, you suck...but it's why I luvs ya!:D...

The key, to me (dad-a-chee?) is to give the mods the support they need and ponder the immortal wisdom of Raylan Givens:

This made me laugh out loud, because I've never seen this show but this quote popped up for me in another context recently. I thought it was one of those sayings so wise that someone should embroider it on a sampler and frame it!

No, don't go anywhere. I can promise you that you would be missed!

No need to leave as far as I'm concerned.

See!?

Anyone know when the initial post comes out in audiobook? :D

Is this a clever way of saying TL;DR? I've been called many things, but "concise" has never been among them. I apologize...

1. If you see a reason based in coolness, let's run with that. ;;D It's a silly nickname I made up for myself to make my sister laugh, I wasn't awarded it by vote or committee.

2. I have a terrible habit of reading British tabloids. A lot. Please don't judge me... Sometimes spelling forms get muddled in my head. But, if you want the dirt on just about any public figure, you're curious about freaky news from around the world, or are desperate to find out what eyebrows are in fashion for summer, I'm your goal!

Thank you to everyone who has read this. As I said at the start, I'm not calling anyone out. And it is TRULY not my intent for anyone to leave.

I wanted to shine some light on our sweet moderators' efforts, and I seem to have inadvertently thrown some shade at the same time.

I love these boards, and the community here. Thanks for listening.

In your mirror.
I don't know specifics, but I have seen it happen here and elsewhere. It's endemic in online communities that from time to time, people end up in ragefests, perhaps most perfectly summarized by the xkcd cartoon:

duty_calls.png
And when you get politics, religion, and all the other hot-button topics involved, then it's much easier for temperatures to rise. There are the "legitimate" arguments, where people start off politely disagreeing and endsux, the Gunslinger walks north on the beach but the beach is at the north pole, herp derp derp"); then there are people who just really enjoy stirring up s**tstorms.

I'm here pretty much for one reason -- the King threads. Chattery Teeth is cool, and I like that community, but I can shout at people in real life about politics.

The key, to me (dad-a-chee?) is to give the mods the support they need and ponder the immortal wisdom of Raylan Givens:

:rofl::rofl:

LOVED the cartoon! I hate it when someone on the net is wrong.

ADORED the vid clip. Exactly! If you keep running into a-holes all day long (day in and day out) you are the a-hole.

Thank you! (Glad to see you back.)

Peace.
