Good morning! Peeking in quick.

Most of the deep cleaning is done for Evan's party. Just carpet shampooing left. Just have to maintain what has been done now. ;)

I am thinking about cheating and buying his cake rather than doing it myself. It will make me feel guilty but time-wise, I think it would really help.

Has been an eventful weekend. Happy, we celebrated Brandon's birthday on Friday night. Went to a bbq at their house. Sage is recovering from her tonsils being removed like a champ.

Saturday, Evan told us he is moving out, rooming with 2 friends in an apartment. Sigh. Lots of tears. We are proud of him and knew it was coming on some level but maybe just not quite so soon. Bittersweet.

Sunday I was still pretty heartbroken and then we found out one of Alison's friends was killed in a car accident Saturday night. 14 years old. My heart breaks for his family and all his friends. Ali is having a pretty hard time with it. Here I was, crying and throwing a fit over my kid turning into an adult and this boy never will. Trying to comfort Ali when comfort cannot be found. Really puts things into perspective.

I hope you all had a good weekend. Have a list of stuff I need to get done so I will pop in and out.

Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:

Just catching up with last week - congrats to your son - I'm sure he will have an opportunity to learn lots of life lessons rooming with two friends! He will appreciate you more once he is out in the world and comes back to visit. (So sorry to hear about Ali's friend) RIP

Waiting patiently for Friday. Getting our new roof on finally. The storms this year have been crazy

Yay! (about your new roof) - we just discovered that the balcony on the back of the house is finally falling apart - Andy sourced out some supplies and it sounds like he might try to fix it himself Ruh Roh!

Hey you bunch of weirdos. How y'all been?
I just wanted to drop in and say hello and that you all still hold a special place in my heart, some of you my bowels, and still others in my spleen.
I am also sad as anyone that the Board is going to the great hunting ground in the sky soon. But, as we all know, EVERYTHING'S EVENTUAL.
Love to all, and please save a seat for me if you can.

Very good :biggrin-new::belial::okay:

:haha:

Happy Taco Tuesday!

Horrible news about New Zealand, just heard that they had a few new cases, their first I believe. Wishing and praying for the best.
Really!? Yikes - I wonder what happened there?

Are they allowing international air travel still? I guess I will have to Google it

Two new New Zealand Covid cases from UK, Jacinda Ardern admits system 'failure'

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has admitted health officials' protocols failed to meet expectations after two new Covid-19 cases were revealed.

The two women, who travelled from Britain, were allowed to leave isolation in Auckland and take a road-trip to Wellington before undergoing Covid tests that turned out to be positive.

In a Facebook Live post on Tuesday evening, Ardern said standards had not been met.

"This case is clear - our expectations ... have not been met in this instance," she said.

The question is, why were these women allowed to travel to New Zealand?

You sound so stern and foreboding - not sure - you would have to read the whole article maybe - perhaps FlakeNoir would know

Wow - I just had a senior moment! I was trying to remember her name and all I could think of was "It's the one who likes chocolate"
