We'll just hitchhike. No fear. Maybe take a couple of Vespas.
I don't know...this pic of you on a Vespa has me worried.

...Grandpa is looking into tours for the Friday of Kon week, and I have spent some time here today checking on shirts....I will tell you straight up, as much as I wanted to deal with them because of helping with the Haven project, they don't have s*it when it comes to "Shining" graphics, therefor I am shooting that down and will check with Zazzle on Monday, they have the Roque mallets and I want to check on a couple of other things as well with them, then I will post my findings here-so that everyone can get the official shirt that wants one and in the proper size even if you can't be physically with the Tet that week.....

About the shirts. I can't make the Kon this year, but I sure would like a shirt, no matter what. I'll be checking in to see what y'all come up with.

Well, kids. It looks like I'm going to have to miss out on this one, too. I REALLY wanted to come to this one, but family has to come first. I've got one son in MN and one in OH, and that's where I'll be going this summer. One needs help and I haven't seen the other in far too long. I need mama time. I truly wanted to meet up with the gang, but it just can't happen.
And I can't even say "Well, there's always next year!" because they only happen every other. I can only hope we're still doing these things in 2018. And wonder where that one might be.

I was kinda hoping for a Maine revisit since I didn't get to go to the first one.

I know many have mentioned Florida for the 2018. Since the past King Kons have been in summer months (children off school, vacation time), those of us that live in Fl know that summer is not ideal. The humidity, rainy season and the top spot of tropical season. Maine would get my vote.

As a south-dweller myself (Louisiana), I concur. Summer isn't all it's cracked up to be. The heat, the humidity, it's pretty miserable. Now, if one of these things got planned for a colder month, like spring break, then I'd suggest someplace down here. But in the hotter months, my vote is for somewhere up north.

....I too would like to have a Kon down South, but if it were to ever happen, it would have to be toward Fall, where it might be less miserable and yet, us Northerners wouldn't have the dicey transport due to inclimate Winter weather....the bad part is, those with kids that would like to join us.....with school and other obligations that would leave them out, and I don't like the idea of excluding those that could otherwise make it....
