...it looks as if we are going to have to go another route with t-shirts, since Brian is apparently busy with other projects...I will start looking soon, so we can get our orders in...it's a tradition and a damn cool one, I don't want to see it fall away....
I talked to Brian about this and that's probably best. Intentions were good and it looked doable at the time but other projects came up and the SK work has to take priority.

Understand well, Ms Mod. Do thank Brian for all the work he did put into the project. There are several good designs at Cafe Press- ready to go/ and they do have a do it yourself option. There will be King Kon Tee shirts if God wills it!!

...since money goes to Haven, I say we deal with them....I will pick through some stuff next week while I'm recuperating, and make a judgement call....not trying to be a jerk, but we have run low on time and I am going to have to have final say...just trust me when I say I have our best interest at heart....

I've been twice and loved it! People who are familiar with the vision of the novel will feel like they are walking into the book. It was a little irritating that the Stanley has tried to bank off of the Jack Nicholson version but I tried to overlook that. I spent an entire afternoon on the porch looking at the Rocky mountains and meeting people from all over the US. The first night I stayed there I was about to get a shower and my suitcase (which is freestanding on wheels) suddenly tipped over. I can't explain it. Not sure what happened. A beautiful hotel but the night sounds amidst the quiet was spooky.

They did one of those Ghost Adventure stories about the Stanley (sorry - cannot recall the exact title). It does sound like it may be haunted.

It's been a while since I've been to the Stanley. When I was there, this is the picture I took of the joint:

This was the view from the porch. Don't expect towering mountains in every direction - it's surrounded by Estes Park. But, yes, this was the view:

Very nice! So - do you think it is haunted? Did you spend the night?

Did not spend the night. We're only an hour or so away, and the price was a bit spendy for the amenities offered. Not to disparage the fine establishment, but....

Here's a picture of the original Stanley Steamer in the lobby, from which Mr. Stanley, in the portrait, started his fortune.

....no question that the side project falls away....do you have any connections at Café Press, so that they might cut us a deal?....
Not really--they don't cut us one. ;-D You don't actually pay them up front to put an item up for sale--they take their cut off the top and then you tell them how much you want to add on top of their fees and they send a check each month for that amount. I think there is a way to make sure you keep the sales private, though, so that the general public wouldn't have access. If you need help with that, let me know.

You know, it's been such a $^*$%@! life. Imma just hope a plane and be there. You in, danie ? We'll just drop by all the hotels until we find our Tet. I'll bring 2 pillows. We can paint our own Tshirts. Just get me outta here for a while. Please.
Holly, I'm trying to save money to come, but it's really looking like a no-go at this point. Still, I'm working on it. Life can really be difficult sometimes, luv. Hang in there. Go for a drive. Eat a fast food burger. Listen to rap music super super loud. Just hang in.

For a second, I thought this was a thread for Legendary Pictures's upcoming King Kong movie.

Scott, you are so sweet; always thinking of others. I have other personal stuff going on (other than expenses) that will probably prevent me from attending, but your thoughts are so appreciated.
