...I will do so and I thank you for your kindness...Scott be sure to give Tracy lots of water before brining her up here tomorrow , I also have plenty of bottled water and Gatorade in my room
Nope, I don't mind staying in room 217 but I'm not getting into that tub
You guys want to see a real haunted hotel, come to the Monte Vista in Flagstaff! Yes, I'm in Flagstaff now so maybe I'm biased, but I stayed at the Monte V for a month once! Google it!I had to google that and still can't figure it out. What is a four post bath tub? Sounds large! You could have everyone over for a splash.
I LOVE this!
There is not a shower In my room, there is a large four post bath tub, I will not be getting into it

I must echo this. "Altitude sickness" is a common thing for people new to elevation, but it's most often dehydration from the semi-arid climate at altitude. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
.
Altitude sickness is no joke, it happens because of our bodies have difficulty adjusting to the lower oxygen level. If you feel nauseated or if you've noticed that you aren't making sense, it's either that or a hangover. Drink fluids and descend.
I don't want to drag this back down the mountain, so I'm going to force it on everybody
Friday, July 22: The Stanley Hotel
During King Kon, we have our very own private tour booked at the Stanley Hotel in beautiful Estes Park Colorado. Why a private tour, you ask? Well, I will tell you. It's because we will get the tour guide all to ourselves, and they will tell us all the SK-related stories in addition to the regular history-type stuff that other tours get.
As most of you probably already know, Stephen King stayed here, and this was an inspiration for The Overlook Hotel in his 1977 novel The Shining.
But, you may not have known that parts of Stephen King's: The Shining miniseries was filmed at The Stanley Hotel, both inside and outside. So be sure to rewatch before your trip, and you'll definitely recognize different areas.
When: July 22, 1pm Please try to be 15 minutes earlyish, just so we don't lose anyone. We don't want to assume you're running late when you've actually been eaten by the house. Oh wait, that's Rose Red... Just be one time, OK? If you're lost in the Hotel on your own and you end up kissing a naked dead lady, don't come running to me!
Where:
The Stanley Hotel
333 Wonderview Avenue
Estes Park, CO 80517
What to Bring: Yourself, a camera, walking shoes, and a change of undies in case you get scared.
Cost: Our Fearless Leader Scott, GNTLGNT, will be along presently to explain all of that.
Note: Please give yourselves plenty of time to get to the hotel before the tour. Mountain driving is unpredictable at best, and the last thing you want to have to deal with is trying to RUSH through all the beautiful scenery!
The town of Estes Park is a destination in itself. If anyone wanting to head up there early or stay behind after, there is plenty to keep you busy!
Give Scott a call. I thought there was a post to meet at the place he is staying??? Please ck in with him. Can't be missing fun fun.We arrived in Estes Park yesterday, late afternoon. Is there a specific place we're meeting at the Stanley today? I'm assuming there will be some tour gathering place identified on site, but I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss anything here. Can't wait!
Thanks Maryann, but I think that was more for people staying closer to Boulder, it wouldn't make sense for us to go back. One nice thing about Scott's height is that he's hard to miss! But I'll give him a call in a couple hours.Give Scott a call. I thought there was a post to meet at the place he is staying??? Please ck in with him. Can't be missing fun fun.
That's the best way- ck in and get it from the Gnt direct. May you and family enjoy the tour! So totally awesome! Thanks Maryann, but I think that was more for people staying closer to Boulder, it wouldn't make sense for us to go back.
