Yes, twas me. If anyone can add to the list, I'd love it. My favorite reads are short stories. And my favorite movies are anthology types, think: Magnolia, Crash, Love Actually, Pulp Fiction - you know, they're kind of entwined stories that could stand alone. I know there's more, I just can't remember.Watched Playing by Heart (1998) on Netflix. Thought I'd seen it before (was convinced I'd watched all of Angelina Jolie's movies), but think I was mistaken. Jay Mohr played an unexpected role. Very sad movie, yet showed the resiliency of love as well. I liked it.
Who posted recently that they liked anthology movies? Was it HollyGolightly ?
Adorable! Kind of sexy-nerdy. Loves women. You gotta love a guy like Jeff Goldblum. My son looks like Jeff Goldblum.

My first viewing was disappointing because I felt that the writing and the story, major factors for me, were weak. My subsequent viewings have allowed me to overlook those weaknesses in order to simply enjoy the performances of really good actors, especially Will Smith's. I personally appreciate Goldblum cast as Judd Hirsch's son since those actors are two of my favorites. This all happened. It was based on real life. Sorry you didn't like it. I loved it. Sure, I had to really suspend my disbelief thru the whole thing, but it's called escapism for a reason.
Alex & Emma. Romantic comedy with Luke Wilson and Kate Hudson, and both playing multiple roles. I liked it a lot. It's funny, well-written and well-acted.
He was quite sexy as an alien in the comedy "Earth Girls Are Easy" with Geena DavisAdorable! Kind of sexy-nerdy. Loves women. You gotta love a guy like Jeff Goldblum.
Oh yes!Just got home from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It says a lot about how engrossing it was that I never even opened my purse to get any of the candy stash in there. The only thing I got out of my purse was tissues. From the first trumpet blast I was a goner. Great characters -- old and new -- great effects, really good acting and story.
But I have to admit... (and the spoiler tag does not tell how massive this spoiler is, so don't click on this unless you have seen it or don't care about Star Wars)
I am gutted. The character I have been in love with for almost 40 years is gone. I saw it coming but still wasn't ready. I'm still shaking. Han Solo. I can't even.
So, yes, go see this! But be prepared for lots of different emotions, especially if you're a Star Wars geek like me.
Three Days In The Valley is an awesome intertwined story! Watch it! Tons of great Actors in it, too, like Danny Aiello, Charlize Theron (making her American screen debut).Yes, twas me. And don't forget he's in The Fly (and abit nude to boot). He was quite sexy as an alien in the comedy "Earth Girls Are Easy" with Geena Davis
I loved Goldblum and Hirsch together, they have definite chemistry on-screen and at least they look like they are related- I can't stand it when two actors are cast as Mother/child, Father/child, sister/sister, brother/sister, etc. and they don't even resemble each other one little bit. Drives me mad!My first viewing was disappointing because I felt that the writing and the story, major factors for me, were weak. I think about that movie often (only saw it once many years ago). Need to order a used DVD on ebay. And don't forget he's in The Fly (and abit nude to boot).
I only saw it once, too. Hey, it's got a young Geena Davis, can't go wrong there, right?I think about that movie often (only saw it once many years ago). Need to order a used DVD on ebay.
Her (main) character gets more appealing soon. (She plays multiple characters.)I just found this on YouTube - why does Kate Hudson play such a bee-yatch?
Does she get nicer as the movie rolls along? I always liked Goldie Hawn ("back in the day" as they say) but I find it hard to warm up to her daughter, Kate Hudson. I DO like Luke Wilson, however.
At the beginning she commits a 'book sin' -she flips to the back of the book and reads the end! - even Stephen King says this is a terrible thing to do

I know how lame this sounds to Star Wars fans. But I'm going to wait until it comes out on DVD. I haven't been keeping up with the movies since the first one, but I really want to see this one. Thanks for the nudge y'all. BTW, when you quote a post the spoiler opens... I am averting my eyes.Oh yes!We watched it at the 9am showing this morning. Different emotions, check! I laughed, cried, gasped and a few other things too! :sigh: Can't wait to see it again!!I don't know if/when I will get over the loss!
