I think at some point in our lives, we all have told a lie to get out of work. I know I did.
I have been lied to also. Karen's dad was a constant liar about everything, and to this day, we never know if he is telling us the truth about stuff.

I work for myself, so I don't have to lie to take a day off work. I simply mark off the appointment book for that day.
Won't tell a lie, either.....it doesn't sit well with me and besides, it isn't necessary.

If person you knew painted a really horrible painting and asked your opinion. Would you tell him or her that you think the painting is crap? Ot would tell that person a a half-truth or an outright lie to spare their feelings?

I'd tell them my honest opinion.....and I'd expect them to do the same for me

? Alternate lies?
Are you heckling me? :eyebrow:

I don't necessarily believe that telling a dying person that it's going to be alright is a lie......there are much worse things than dying.
Why lie to a person who more than likely knows what's happening anyway?....is to make ourselves feel better?....do we think it's comforting to that person? I don't know. But I've often sat with dying people, and just spoke my heart.....told them how much I love them, how they've influenced my life, how much I'll miss them.....and I do think that it will be alright. If they are suffering, they won't feel the pain any longer.
