Hi! I'm new, and happy to be here. My first Stephen King book was "The Eyes of the Dragon," which my mom (a much more well-read fan than me, I admit) read to me when I was 8. I was obsessed with it then, and I actually still am now. I've read the giant, newer release of "The Stand" in recent years, and I just started "The Dark Tower" a week ago. I'm almost done with the second book.

Thanks for letting me in! I'm looking forward to reading around the forums and getting to know the members.

How did you like Eyes of the Dragon at 8? My three oldest read it for themselves when they were each 12 or so, but I'm considering reading it to my 9 year old. He's already obsessed with The Gunslinger (from the pictures and me telling him an abbreviated version of the story), so I figure he might enjoy something more his speed :)

Welcome!

Loved the Eyes of the Dragon (and I was over 50 when I first read it).

Welcome!

Try 11/22/63 - it's very good - you would probably like it - it's about time travel.

Thank you all, once more, for being so nice and welcoming! I've been on some message boards where newbies are expected to be quiet and walk on eggshells for awhile until they've become somewhat "established." Hopefully I'm not annoying you all if I just kind of jump into some threads. If I am, just throw somethin' at me! :monkey_kite:
