News from my neck of the woods.......

Park Service officers and the Watauga Sheriff’s Office found themselves scratching heads over a report of a boat being towed –without a trailer. Lawmen responded to Sampson Road and the Blue Ridge Parkway seeking the subject towing a boat without a trailer but found only the boat in the roadway on Sampson road with no one around. The boat was towed from the area by Hampton’s body shop, and anyone missing the boat should contact either Parkway Police or the Watauga Sheriff’s Office.

Maybe they thought by dragging the boat without a trailer was the easiest way to get rid of barnacles.
