Brains: You know something?.....a boat is kinda hard to maneuver without a proper trailer.....

Uncle: I'll just bet it is......
Do you think that whoever was pulling the thing made all those donut track marks in the mud over there on the Parkway?

Brains: No doubt, they did.....If I was a betting man, I'd guess that they was trying to turn the blasted thing around to take it back, and that !@#$%^&* rope broke.....Probably was two guys.....the little one wasn't much help to help pull the blame thing out of the road, but they was trying real hard.

Uncle: You don't say.....

Brains: I'm sure they tried as good as they knowed how to get that boat out of the way, did you see all those tracks in the mud....and the mud in the road?.....I would be lead to think that the !@#$%^&* thing even turned over a time or two. No sir, couldn't be an easy job at all.

Uncle: I'd imagine you're right about that. What do you think made them leave it in the road like that?

Brains: Well, if I had to venture a guess, I'd say that a couple of cars passed by, and they mighta got spooked about someone calling up the law.....and nobody wants to explain what you're doing with with a jacked up boat on the Parkway to a bunch of park rangers.
I think they must have got tired of fighting with the darn thing and just left it there.....they didn't ask for it, after all. It was just dumped off where they would find it anyway.
Now, could you help me get this gawdawful mud offa my boots?.....and maybe a beer? All this talking has got me tired and thirsty.

Uncle: Yeah, I imagine you've worked up quite the thirst today. Help yourself to a beer, and I'll go get the mud brush and the upholstery cleaner.....that mud is gonna be hard to get out.

**My uncle then went upstairs, and called the radio station. He requested that they play Motorboatin' and dedicated to his friend Brains.**

You kidding me? I loved it!!!!!!! Maybe we might get a "further adventures" episode at a later date?:applause:
Haha! There are plenty of "Adventures in Sampson" stories.....I grew up around most of the people, and I usually find them all to be quite entertaining. My uncle is a much better story teller than I am. I wish y'all could have heard him as he told it to me.

...it's funny, because it's REAL....no pretentions amongst us Redneck folk...

Some of the best people I've ever met are good old Southern rednecks. I've never been ashamed of being a little rosy around the collar.

Here's a photo of one of my uncle Charlie....not the one from the story. This was taken on New Year's Eve, and he was playing some crazy song about a cheating wife. The guitar was one my uncle Duck found for five dollars at a flee market, and it was horrible to play.
Anyway, they decided that a capo might help.....but they didn't have a capo.... Duck however, did have some rather large wire ties.....
Hey, whatever works, right?
