My dog is being put to sleep tomorrow.

Mom made an appointment with the vet, so I guess they'll put him down this time because he's sick. The last time we took him to have him put down they wouldn't do it. I just hope my mom isn't lying to me and she's not just going to give him to someone else. I'm going to miss him dearly.

He hasn't been the same since he got poisoned a couple of years ago, he's always a nervous wreck

*hugs* I am really sorry and that so sad. Some Vets will let you be in there and hold their paw while they pass. My husband did that with our cat.

Our vet came to our house so that there would be even less stress for our pets and their passing would be more peaceful. It was worth the extra money to us to do the house call. Perhaps kinder for us, too, now that I think of it as we didn't have to drive home in that emotional state.

Ren has passed on; a little while after I made my post he had a seizure, I called my mom, she rushed home, and then we took him to the vet and had him put down. This is easily the worst day of my life, you haven't had a bad day until you've seen your baby have a seizure and heard his screams of pain. The vet said he had a brain tumor, my mom and I never even knew.

How old was Ren? It sounds like you did the best you could for him and he's at peace now.
