Hi DJ, his name was Benard. No R like Bernard. Not sure why. I got him when he was two and that's the way it already was. I almost changed it to the oh so original name of Cujo but decided to let it be. I didn't realize I didn't have his name on here. Thank you for asking.

I want to send out a very heartfelt thank you to all of you. I really, truly appreciate your responses. It's makes things a little easier to read these and feel the support. I'm also sorry to all of you that have been through this yourselves. They're our family. I miss him every day but as PITH stated, I find myself crying much less and smiling a bit more when I think of him. I had him cremated and was able to bring him home this week and that's comforting in it's own way.

You're very welcome. I know it is a EXTREMELY hard and VERY emotional thing to go through. But, can I let you in on a little secret? I know it is still too early to think of such things, but you may, in time, find another friend. Certainly not to replace Benard (awesome name btw), but to make his or her's own special place in your life.
