Nope, I've never met the guy. I've lived in NYC for the past 20 years and the closest I've ever been to Maine is Boston, MA, which was 11 years ago, way before I joined CR ranks. The only person in Maine, that I know, doesn't know me (hint hint).
I did have a SK moment tonight, nevertheless. I got a phone call a few hours ago from 207 area code, which my phone correctly translated as Bangor, ME number. Whoever called me, hung up immediately and, as a quick research later showed, it was a telemarketer. None of that matters though. Can you guess what was the very first thought that entered my mind at the time?!
What was your SK moment?

He and a lunch companion were seated next to my husband and me at a restaurant, years ago. I think it must have been when they were filming The Stand, but I don't know for sure. I didn't bother Mr. King, of course, but got quite twitterpated anyway--lol. My husband said I would regret not asking for an autograph, but... dang. He was just trying to eat a sandwich and chat. I couldn't do it. And I don't regret it (much). :)

Tell me...are you a Dali fan? (No, not her...Jeez...)

I had a Stand dream the other night. Does that count? I was in Stu Redman's group heading for Mother Abigail's and we were scavenging along the way. I found a canary yellow roaster (lovely color, with a matching rack and lid) that I thought would come in handy if we ever wanted to roast a chicken on our travels!
Okay Lucas, welcome.

When I met my partner one year ago and found out that he have a elder sister name Johanna and a younger brother name Alexi (that
does not have anything to do with SK) but that he have a elder sister and younger brother made me think that I walked straight in Steves
life. Except that my father-in- law is not a writer. =D but he likes to play guitar as SK.

Wow, that's actually pretty interesting -- a lost $1 million royalty check. For what book(s)?

I called a talk show, Larry King radio program, and was able to ask a question. And I don't know if this counts as a moment, but I have a framed letter response to a denied interview request.
