I love October! Why? I love the beginning of chilly weather, where I can wear a sweat shirt and jeans. Taking my dogs to the dog park to play in the leaves. I love Halloween, and all it's horror. I love the fact that most TV stations air Stephen King movies (Right now Syfy has Rose Red on!). I just love everything about it. Then we have pumpkin pies (I am not into all the other pumpkin flavored stuff). Omg I just love October. And don't get me started on my favorite Paranormal shows?

So guys, what is your favorite thing about fall or what is your favorite month/ time of the year?

I like the trick or treaters coming to the door on October 31st; the sound of the Canada geese flying overhead in a giant V shape, honking; putting some logs in the fireplace and enjoying the warmth, crackling logs and the way the light reflects on the walls. When it gets cold outside it feels good to have the oven on, something bubbling on the stove and enjoying a cup of something hot - chocolate, hot tea, coffee with honey and milk. It just makes you appreciate your warm, safe house so much more. It feels like a sanctuary against the biting winds and blowing snow once the real winter sets in.

Cooler weather, my coffee seems to taste better when the weather's cooler also. I tend to see more deer moving around the woods near my property when it starts getting cooler in October. John Carpenter's Halloween movies, the end of summer. I agree, I think October is about my favorite month of the year.

I also love October. The fall and winter are my favs. Family time, scary movies, a connection with nature that I seem to have...so many things to love about them...Thanksgiving, Christmas, the first...hunting with my dad and uncle, great food. The list could go on and on I think.

Last night opened door for pizza guy and it was cold, and the air smelled a certain way. I love that smell. It turns me on.

I used to feel the same about October...then I moved to Australia, where the seasons are all back to front! I'm getting used to it now, although one of the worst things was realising that my birthday would now always be in Winter, where it had always been in the Summer before...But hey, given the near 10 months of sunshine we have, I shouldn't really be complaining ;;D

I do miss the atmosphere of Halloween though. It doesn't seem to be a big deal down under, like we had in the UK. Anyway, enjoy guys! carve a lantern for me :0:

I haven't been to the UK, but yeah, it [Halloween] isn't really an Australian thing. Although I guess with the Americanisation of our culture (which I could rant about for ages) it is becoming a bigger part of our culture.

Although I do love Halloween :lurve:

I love summer, my favorite month is probably August, maybe because my birthday is in August. Also, in August it is usually still warm, but not hot, still lots of time to walk, breathe fresh air... I don't really like October, at least not this year, as it is getting really cold, we all wear warm jackets and it has been raining for the past week, no chance to have a good walk:flat:

Love love love the fall and especially October. Call me crazy, but I love when it gets dark earlier. Like many others have said, I love the cool, crisp air. I just love everything about October.
Currently on vacation in the UK. In London right now. Beautiful fall day yesterday; spent the day in Greenwich and took a boat right back down the Thames. Just lovely! A bit rainy today but that's fine. Going to Windsor Castle. For some reason the gray weather seems fitting.

...I'm all about the cooler air-fat white guys love cool air....the smell of woodsmoke, dry leaves and even the whiff of melancholy...as things wind down for another year...love coming home from a long shift, showering and then pullin' the covers up to my nose and feeling warm and secure ...plus, I know Holiday cookie season ain't far away...
