i'm not quite engaged with the outrage.

In a past Superbowl ad, a lady in a boat in a Dr. Pepper ad got her boyfriend eaten by an alligator.

In this one, a puppy returns and the "mom" is glad because the puppy already got sold - in an apparent parody of a Budweiser ad (I'm saying "apparent" because I haven't seen it).

I dunno. It wasn't all that funny to me because I didn't see the original ad, but it had an element of humor. It's fiction. It's not glorifying anything - in fact, it's making the puppy "mom" to be a bit of a bwitch.

I have some thing hosted on GoDaddy (starting by a former Marine), including the site that hosts my avatar, and I have no great draw to pull the hosting. If they lose a thousand accounts but gain a few thousand more out of curiosity, I guess it's a successful campaign, but I try to stay out of that drama.

I guess we saw it from different perspectives, Leppsie. The lady who "sold" the puppy didn't seem nice to me at all. But neither did the (implicit) alligator who ate the Dr. Pepper girl's boyfriend.

Grandpa - I just quoted a couple of your comments:

She bears a slight resemblance to Andie MacDowell (to me, anyway!) - I don't suppose that was intentional?
