Why is it that we can land humans on the moon and a dune buggy on Mars, but we can't figure out what in the h*ll happened to Malaysian Airlines 370? It's been 6 months since it disappeared, and investigators are now searching an area that is over 60,000 km2, with over 1000 possible flight paths that the jet could have taken before it went down.

Those poor, poor families of the victims. To not know what happened is almost as bad as knowing you'll never see your loved one again.

Ok, I had to know. Yeah for Google. A sweet potato are unrelated biologically, even though they look similar. Yams are native to Africa and sweet potato are more native to North America. Someting about bocats that made no sense. Muffins are generally denser with the fat melted rather than cut in as in a cupcake. I feel better now.

Although yams and sweet potatoes are both angiosperms (flowering plants), they are not related botanically. Yams are a monocot (a plant having one embryonic seed leaf) and from the Dioscoreaceae or Yam family. Sweet Potatoes, often called ‘yams’, are a dicot (a plant having two embryonic seed leaves) and are from the Convolvulacea or morning glory family.

A muffin is any quickbread (mixed by muffin mixing method & does NOT contain yeast) that is in the shape of a cupcake. A cupcake is any cake batter mixed with the straight method or creaming method made into the shape of a cup. Cupcakes (traditionally) have frosting on top, while muffins have no frosting, but muffins can have a glaze on top. Many people think that the difference is either frosting or no frosting, or that it's "in a paper liner" or not, but that is a common mistake. Either one can be made with or without a paper liner; it's just the baker's preference. A quickbread (or muffin) CANNOT be baked like a sheet cake or round layered cake because it won't bake properly. The same goes for a cupcake batter - a cake batter (or cupcake) cannot be baked in a loaf or bundt pan because it will not bake properly. But, since both can be baked into a smaller shape, people often think they're the same.

...
and I yam someone who has a muffin top when I wear jeans, with a backside that looks like a sweet potato-that turns the cupcakes off...

Because no-one hates Cheese. Not possible. :D

You don't actually hate it, just love it slightly less than everyone else.

I hate cheese. Always have, always will. The smell is so bad.
(Once, I went with my baby SIL to pick up some pizzas and those cheese bread stick things. Have mercy! I had my head out the window retching and poor SIL racing home so I could escape. The smell of those cheese bread sticks ... :dizzy: :barf::barf:)

(I'm sure some old time SKMB remember me posting about Lent. I give up animal flesh so when I eat pizza my pizza consists of the crust, sauce and jalapenos. My enchiladas are corn tortillas, sauce and chopped onion. HA!)

Peace. (Hold the cheese.)[/QUOTE]

What is the difference between a sweet potato and a yam?

I'm not sure but there is a difference. I like baked sweet potatoes and one time at the store, I bought Yams thinking they were the same thing. I baked them and it was a lot like eating dirt. ;-D I guess there is a reason they are usually served with tons of sugary goo all over them. ;-D

Hola!

I love~~~ pizza.

My favorite is hand tossed, double peperoni, heavy on the jalapenos and NO CHEESE! (Put it through the oven twice, please.)

Yes, I know. NO CHEESE! Egads! I hate cheese. *gagging noises*

(Get this! During Lent I give up all animal flesh. So, my pizza order is as follows: One pizza, no cheese, no meat, heavy on the jalapenos. I get bread, tomato sauce and JALAPENOS!!! Yay!)

What's on YOUR pizza?

Peace.

One of the men missing on that flight his wife comes into the supermarket where I work. I have served her, she was very nice and have served her father as well, he told me his son in law was missing on that plane.
Did they really go to the moon or was it a hoax? No one has ever gone back their, strange!!

....really?.....
There were 12 manned Apollo missions having to do with the Moon, and 3 having to do with Skylab.
...and as far as a return, it's a "been there done that" thing...NASA appears to be more interested in pushing farther out into the galaxy, with the monies available to them...although the idea of more missions to the lunar surface haven't been ruled out...oh yeah, and the Earth REALLY isn't flat...
