Two of my favorite dresses of the night:

Marie Kondo -- I love this woman. I read her first book when it was hot. I'm watching her show on Netflix now. It makes me cry. She has such respect for people and their things. And she teaches you to keep the things that "spark joy" and lets the homeowner's discover on their own, the a-ha moment of things that cause stress and anxiety. Not peace.

Everyone is making fun of her "spark joy" stuff, but if you calm your arrogant self down and try it, it makes sense. Here's a joke passed onto me about her:

"The Year is 2035. Marie Kondo holds up the condemned man to the crowd. "Does this man spark joy?" The crowd jeers, "No he does not!" She nods silently and throws him into the pit."

I love her style.

And I totally applaud and loved this outfit:

One of my other favorite dresses I can't find! If someone knows who was wearing it, please post a picture. She was on the red carpet and was interviewing people. It was a blue feathery dress. It looked young and so sweet on the person wearing it, but I can't remember who that was!

And, while I absolutely loathe these big fabric creatures perched on shoulders, I thought this dress was very pretty:

And don't get me started on Spike Lee. I have a lot to say about him.
....can't handle the dude in that whatever.....as my Mom would have said "looks like he's trying to do something and can't"......

kingricefan -- so how did your Oscar party go? What were your thoughts of the night?
I’m only saying this is the future of crime films. It’s about raccoons who are also gangsters.View attachment 30321
I thought it was a pretty boring and lackluster show. The highlight of course was Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's live rendition of their nominated song. Just the look in their eyes when they looked at each other was amazing. Yes, the show ended earlier than previous ones, but they still need a host.

Agree. Didn't like the no host format. And the song was truly amazing. There was so much love and passion between them, they are really good actors or there is something there. You don't look at someone like that and not feel a powerful connection.

Exactly. I saw an interview with Gaga and she said that as soon as their eyes locked when they met for the first time that she knew it was going to 'work' between them. They definitely have a great love for each other. I think that they understand what each has gone through in life.
