Good luck on the job hunting, I'm doing the same... and heck yes, it's tough out there!

Yes, I was job hunting four years ago, and it was much easier. Has John Key ruined our economy or what is it? Companies are hard as eh, and I loathe agencies!!! Keep plugging though. Supermarkets, banks and petrol stations now are almost all self-service - that's a lot of jobs gone. Best of luck to you too, Flake Noir, and may you get loads of choccy for Christmas, of the rich and dark kind!!

I told my kids that I called Santa's helper and he is sending an elf since my son requested one. A nice elf, we have enough naughtiness in my house. We had a SantaCam, but my one son is really into the elf since he has one in his classroom at school.

Mr. 9 is just on the cusp of belief. It was an easy transition for the other kids, though, since we've always done one Santa gift and emphasized that anyone who is giving gifts and spreading love at Christmas is being Santa. Right now I think one gift will be the make-or-break: he has a very modest list (what a guy), but one thing is an older toy--Ben 10--that likely isn't made any longer. We talked about it, and his solution was Santa. I tried suggesting that Santa does run a factory, and likely makes mostly classic toys (bikes, trains, sports equipment) and popular toys, but I'm not sure how well that will fly.

I guess some people might not understand the point I was trying to make. Her "friend" is still treating her like she's her maid and that upsets and hurts me. She made my mom leftover fish. And as a birthday gift, she gave her the open cereal, crackers and miscellaneous items from her pantry that were about to expire.

Now that is for sh*t. Absolutely despicable. How does Mom feel about this poor treatment?

Random thoughts. Tv button remote is confusing me. I don't feel like trying to master it right now. I can talk into it, and changes channels. I can say all kinds of things into it, and sometimes the tv screen displays a message that they don't talk like that. hee .

But.. Tv is on in the back round right? Something going on. Ah, remote is under me. Under my foot that is scrunched up here. It's Fast forwarding. Going backward.

That heck? This show is broadcasting now. I dunno. I will figure it out.
Or just turn it off.

Recently found a new little library center in my area. I really like the people there and I want the library to do well (all volunteer staff, library runs on donations).
I'm a stay at home mom and really can't spare any cash this time of year, so as a show of appreciation, I donated my hardback of "Bazaar of Bad Dreams" today. I'm more of a reader than a collector anyway, so I was happy to give it to them so others can enjoy it.
