I looked under my privacy settings, and saw it was set to not receive messages on my page. I fixed it. To be sure try to post something now.
Ah! that explains it! See - people were trying to post and could not. I had the same problem when I tried to send a message to Walter Oobleck a while back.

Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and thoughts over the past week following my Poppa's death. It has been a heart-breaking time and I am exhausted at the moment... Poppa and my Nana have been very influential and are incredibly precious people in my life, and they loved each other fiercely right up to the last breath.
Poppa was 91 and Nana is 96... she is still completely clear in her mind, but he was terribly ill with dementia for a number of years, there were often 'pockets' of 'old Poppa', but they became fewer and fewer in the last year and seeing him suffer was very painful.
Still, I keep finding out that even though you expect to lose them one day, you are never really prepared for it.

He is now at peace.

I am very sorry if I have missed messages/or replies... when I logged in tonight there were around 2,700 new posts--I'm never going to be able to catch up on those I think, so please forgive if it seems like I might be ignoring you... it's never that.

It's time for you and your family, Flake. An adjustment period to life. You never ignore. Messages were sent with love and heartfelt thoughts. Just your feeling the love was all that was necessary. Replies are not needed. The words are unspoken and felt by us all. Please, just be well and take good care.

It will never be better, but it will get easier. You are loved.

1) Does anyone here know someone who actually got a car for Christmas?

2) Why can no appliance die alone?

3) Has anyone told you that you're incredible today? Because you are :)

1. No
2. The universe knows when you have two nickels to rub together, and then breaks something that costs 3 nickels.
3. You just did!

Why was one of my horses standing outside the horse pasture by my car this morning when I was leaving for work? Hope he is still there when I get home.
Can he open gates? Sounds funny, but my grandpa had a horse who could do that. He also learned how to puff out his gut and keep it puffed even when you poked him so you couldn't get the saddle cinched tight enough--a lesson sorely learned when he sucked in, bucked, and threw me into cactus--lol) He was the devil.

That was one smart horse!
Hope yours didn't go for a joy ride in the car, Cowboy!
