If nothing happens, I'll be watching the first episode of Dexter tonight.

Maybe we should start a self help group, CAT

With Sons of Anarchy, I binge watched the first 3 seasons in a little over a week, so that I'd be caught up when season 4 started.

I watched 4 seasons of Lost during the weekend snowstorm a few weeks ago. Finished it off the next week.

YES!!! Sons of Anarchy!! I am watching Season 7 on the F/X channel on Monday nights. Absolutely unbelievable. Every episode is
better than the last.

I like kids and I like books. Maybe I should go back to school to be a librarian? I'd have to corner the market on ibuprofen for my back, neck, and knees, though--lol (but I keep seeing books that look intriguing. I don't care that it's an elementary school library :D)

I remember when I was kid being so excited that the book flyer came out that you could purchase books. It was an awesome day.
We had the Scholastic Books

My Mom would give us money to pay for the books, even though Dad thought we should just take books out of the library for free :)=D=D

This was my favorite too! Then when my kids started school I looked forward to them bringing home the scholastic flyer, we ordered something every month. They stopped that a few years ago because some parents got mad that the school was trying to "sell books to kids". Of course it was the ignorant plop-the-baby-in-front-of-the-TV parents who complained. Now you can go online and order, but nowhere near as fun, imo.
They still have RIF though and a book fair once or twice a year.

When my kids were in elementary school they loved when the book fair sales happened in the library. They were held in the evenings. I took them and allowed them to each pick 3 books (or other offerings). It usually took over an hour for them to decide. I just wish the prices for the books at these school fairs weren’t so exorbitant. The bill usually came out near $100 for 6 books. I would have loved for them to have been able to get more.

I always worked the book fair. It broke my heart to have some little kid tell me, they wouldn't be able to get any books because they couldn't afford them. I just wanted to buy them all books!

My one daughter (who is now in college) had a friend who couldn’t afford them either, but loved the thought of owning them herself. I always had her bring her friend along that evening and let her pick out 2 books that I would pay for. She always went for the thickest fantasy books with colorful covers. The joy in her eyes was well worth the price.
