LOL. Hey, some of us who have been told over the years from our teachers that we aren’t reaching our full potential, we underachieve, are lazy and not focused, sometimes go on to reach admirable education levels and career heights. It just takes some of us longer to get motivated. (And then there’s those like me who the embrace the doofus for most of our lives. :))

In your mirror.
Good evening!

Drive by post. 22 years ago I was into an hour (10pm) past my shift. I was in labor. Yay! I was in labor and soon (Hopefully) I would give birth to a child my husband and I had waited for for so long.

Our son was born February 18th at about 12:30pm. 6 pounds 5 ounces. (Both APGARs-10!)

Yay!

Ha,sorry to butt in,but when I saw the post and your moniker,I thought "an 80'ish woman is having a baby?! Maybe the poor lady has ahlzeihmer's and just thinks she is pregnant!" until I looked again.. ;)

It's not to old as that would be sexist as it's alright for a man in his 80's or 90's like Anthony Quinn to father a child but a woman doesn't have the same choice? Usually it's a physical thing but it is a proven fact that the older a lady has a child the greater risk of that child being born with some type of disorder, be it physical or mental.

wasn't trying to make a deep statement there, just chuckling a bit at the idea, also,I believe that the older a man is when he fathers a child the risks are the same for problems to arise..can we lighten up a bit please?

Wow - 10 for an Apgar score is quite rare - usually it is just 9 (at least that is what I hear the doctors dictating). Apgar scores of 9 and 9 are considered to be very good.

So how is your son now? Mine was born February 17th - he just turned 30 yesterday - we still have to cut into his ice cream cake tonight, as yesterday he took his fiancee to a movie and then for poutine.

Gawd - I cannot imagine having a baby later in life! Yikes

To each his own. (or her own). Yes - the chances for birth defects rises as we get older, especially after you hit age 40.

My two boys are now 30 (the youngest) and the older one will turn 34 on July 1st.

Still no grandchildren yet :(:a17: - who knows? Maybe some day! :encouragement:

Set aside a couple hours, Sunny. You'll be watching a few I bet (around Big Bang of course). The eps run around 50 minutes or so so it's perfect to binge on. Where's CAT.....she'll tell you..........:D
I tend to get slightly obsessive with binge watching.....I watched the entire series of Breaking Bad in just a little under a month......
