Does anyone know a good pet-safe way to get rid of ants that are coming inside to get my cat's food? For now, I've been randomly moving their dishes to weird places in the house, which they get dry and wet food and I always end up stepping in the wet food because i forgot I moved it to the new place. And I kick the dry food dish every which way. I would like to put them back in the kitchen where I had them but I don't want to have ants. Safe, pet friendly thing I can do?

Picture the ants marching two-by-two and me in slow motion, my bottom jaw unhinged swinging back and forth, back and forth trying to squish them as they scatter. And yes, there is howling. From me and the ants.

You can do something like this:

or purchase an ant proof pet food bowl at store. Also, making a chalk line around the dish often stops them from getting into the food.
I can relate on stepping into dry cat food bowls!

Try sprinkling cinnamon around the places they're entering. My mom's been doing this for several years now & it seems to help keep them out. Ants hate cinnamon, who knew?!

Every morning I listen to two kids fight with each other. I am sitting here with my coffee listening to them bicker. I can't handle it. The whole summer they have been at each other. Can't they just get along?

LMAO Richard has two kids (I keep forgetting that he does until a holiday comes along and reminds me again) and they do that.
I'm laughing because they were sniping about something and he suddenly said "Will you two please STOP it?" At which time the boy said the girl had started it, and Richard replied "I don't CARE who started it, if you both STOP it nobody will be conTINUing it."
"Then that means SHE'LL be the winner," said the boy.
"All right," Richard said, "I'll make you a deal. You can continue this conversation - outside. And you can't come in until you settle it so that you're not arguing with each other and consequently jangling my nerves."
So they're outside right now, an hour and a half later, still "discussing it." LOL
He loves his kids like no one I've ever seen, but even he dislikes discord. Especially after what happened last night with the neighborhood fireworks. He's a war veteran. He doesn't like people setting off firecrackers that sound like they're right over your head but not being able to locate the source.

How do you get rid of OTHer kinds of bugs. Cleaning day & night doesn't seem to do it when you live in apartments. I don't understand it. Why do they come looking for something when there's nothing there to find?
