I sent you a message in the Cantina thread, not able to pm you. Tar Heels really know how to close a game out, that may come in handy. Since you beat my 'Backs and I very much like you Sunny, I'm going to root for your Tar Heels the rest of the way. How about South Carolina??? Talk about screwing up some brackets...wow.

I've had to add Maye to the list of "my boys" after his performance tonight......He's proving himself to be a good solid player.
I'm happy that South Carolina has done so well for themselves. Wouldn't it be nuts if the final game came down to them and My Tar Heels??

Maye drilled some big ones last couple of games. NC has some clutch shooters.

I don't think the NCAA will be playing any games in NC anytime soon. They moved the the Eastern Regionals to Greenville, SC because of the stupid HB2 law.

I was watching the local news yesterday, 3 of the 5 starting guys on the 'Backs team are declaring eligible for the NBA draft...DAMMIT!!!!!. Our coach went recruiting at some JU-CO schools in the off season which turned out to be a very good move. He's been on the hot seat this year, so hopefully this will buy him another season to reload.

Oh Lord......I made the mistake of answering the phone without looking at the caller ID. It was my dad......he only calls when he wants something. He wants me to cut his wife's hair on Saturday.....told him I don't work on Saturdays. He said well we can come to your house. I said I don't keep my tools at home. He said well, we'll be up there on Saturday, and she needs her hair cut. We can meet you at the salon......so, now I'm gonna have be embarrassed to death and cut her hair on Saturday. I'm dreading it. He puts on "the show" and acts like an ignorant hick to get attention......

You could always say you'll make an exception in their case and will bring home your tools for this coming Saturday.

Sorry to hear this - maybe he embarrasses you, but others might find him charming. Don't know if this is helping or not.

When I was about 19 I was a bit embarrassed by my Mom and her accent but later on I realized she was very well liked and everyone loved the way she talked (she was from Glasgow).

When my brother died, dad came to church and made a big show out of "rededicating himself to the Lord"....my then husband called to tell me all about this wonderful news, and asked if I was happy. I said Meh, I've been to the show before.
For years after that, dad would call when he wanted something....for free, of course. He asked me to design a logo for their church to embroider on hats....I explained that we had a huge job for a disaster relief organization, but I'd do it as soon as I finished their job. He called me a week later and said that if I couldn't do the design, they'd have to go somewhere else....keep in mind, he was getting the job done for free, and now he's threatening to take his work elsewhere.....I went off like a rocket, told him where to go and how to get there. Didn't speak to him for 4 years after that. He didn't even care enough to learn my daughter's name.....she's his only grandchild......all he ever calls her is the little girl. My dad's actions over the years have left me just sort of numb and not caring much whether I see him or not.

I'm not sure I'm a bigger person.....unless we're talking weight, then I'm pretty sure I've got you beat there
My dad and his family have always been weird.....he's just gotten worse over the years.
I keep thinking that if I get through this visit, it'll be a couple of years before I hear from him again.
