Just wondering about regrets from members..doesn't have to be the most earth shaking,or profound,it can be anything from regretting what you ordered for lunch today,to how you are responsible for major damage to friends,or family..

Mine, just to start out,I saw a guy I knew today..nice guy,a little annoying in that he would interrupt every conversation..but he had a ponytail, kind of long, and clearly he liked it as it was always present. One time,he hailed me at a local restaurant, and I kind of ignored him, then said "Oh hi @@@@@, good to see you,I just thought you were an ugly broad!" which was met with much laughter.Saw him today, and he has real short hair, which I am sure has nothing to do with me,but I still feel bad, cause I could see he didn't like my wisecrack back then, and the subsequent laughs..No big deal, still a friend, but that was one thing I regretted..among many.Any regrets from you all?

My maternal grandfather came from Russia. He learned English and used it as the main spoken language. However, many of his friends still spoke Russian when in groups. I regret never learning the language. As a child it would have been absorbed without a problem . Now I have a dear friend, Russian, and the regret renews as I could be speaking her native language.

JD told me a long time ago not to have regrets because every experience can be looked at with a positive spin.
Ever since our conversation on the subject, I've tried to always see the stars, as he liked to say.......

Regrets.... I was a very shy boy. I remember after a party when we were 18 a girl from the class, a beautiful girl, asked if i wanted to come up. How i wanted too... but i hesitated and in the end said no. Would have been interesting to know what would have happened. I really liked her.

Yeah I try not to believe in them.
Regrets are are about our self perceived mistakes in life, and everyone makes them.
We all know we should learn from our mistakes, ergo the only real regrets one should entertain, should be not learning at least something from those unfortunate mistakes.

Hey you, thanks for that sweet JD moment, warms me cold black plaque encrusted heart:love_heart:

I do too. Time is what I need, I guess.

:shopping:
We all need that time, never seems to be enough, probably because there's just not, live and learn, and love, oh, and for some especially gifted, teach(;)), is really all we can do.
Me, I think without regrets is best, takes too much of that valuable time we can never get back.

You're right (and made me cry). Thanks for being you, Pat.
