I don't celebrate New Year on Jan 1. But if I did, I wouldn't make resolutions. I do have some general resolutions but they're always the same. Don't do drugs, stay in school. 
My resolution is the same as always: Make no resolutions. This might explain my abiding confusion.

I'm doing fairly well. I resolved to spend more time on my craft and not let anybody occupy space in my head. Whether it's a scam publisher that rips people off or my charming neighbor that tortures my long days and sleepless nights refusing to quiet his pups, I'm not letting my thoughts linger on the negative. I actually got a lot of work done today on a project I'm excited as all get-out about. Can't wait to tell you guys about it!

I've surprised myself by actually sticking to one of my resolutions this year. I haven't smoked a cigarette since New Year's Eve. I have been smoking for over 25 years and this is by far the best attempt I've made at stopping. I think I might actually do it this time!
