Ummm, could we not mention skunks...everagain?
I used to walk my dog without a leash (I know, believe me). One night he got into a sk...he got into one of them. At first I wondered why he was rolling frantically all over someone's lawn. Then I noticed sinus-wise something going wrong with the atmosphere. Then an ominous something expanded and descended on the city. I rushed home and put my poor dog in the basement; I had no idea what else to do.

The next day my boss (who may've perceived something) said that sometimes bathing your dog or self in tomato juice, then vinegar, then tomato juice, then vinegar, etc, can help. I think it was months before my dog's head quit stinking.

Have you tried bathing in tomato juice?
O, the tomato, evil fruit of nastiness.
To look upon thine insides is to
gaze upon the larval stage of a thousand flies
How I hate thee, O tomato
for thy taste and smell maketh
me puketh.

Can't handle the tomato route.
I guess I'll have to stink (eth).
