He was 71. Sad day for the music world and the Boston music scene.

About four of my buddies and me took off to see J Geils in '81 or so,in a big old car with a couple cases of beer and caught his act in Syracuse NY..long time ago,he was just like in this clip..RIP J,thanks for the music..

Just to be clear, J. Geils was the guitar player in the band. Peter Wolf was the singer. He's still alive and well!
