Blech to the chocolate pie and pie snot but a good cheesecake would go far and I'd even share it with Steve. ;)
You are the only other person I know besides myself who's likened pie meringue to snot.
Birds of a feather and everything, you know.

Alrighty. Cheesecake it is. I can make three, and it's your choice: Oreo, white chocolate-raspberry, or plain with a cherry topping.

And here's the kicker: if you-know-who is going to haunt the place and lurk with his own piece of cheesecake, I promise to show up with some original interview questions.

Like: how often do you get to share cheesecake with your assistant *and* a Board member?
Stuff the world truly wants to know.

Oh my. You must have been a joy to be around these last two days. :)

(but I would pass the Pocono Cheesecake Factory, which are to die for)
The people I associate with share my feelings so no problem there and, for the most part, I've been biting my tongue with responding here so as not to pass my disgust onto others. I'm trying very hard to adopt the "this too shall pass" attitude until I can regain my good humor.

Of those choices, I'd go with the white chocolate-raspberry. I'm even fine with just plain, no flavor or toppings, as a really good cheesecake doesn't need anything more.

I guess I'm not helping much. Zantac and Xanax are on me.

Can you overdose on those, because I'm not sure there's enough in the world to help right at the moment! Probably better to be safe than sorry for me and just keep repeating my "this too shall pass, you lived through the Reagan and Bush eras, you can do it again" mantra.

It will pass. Felt the same in Carter's, Clinton's first term and Obama's two. Thankfully the Gore ordeal was short lived. :)

I watched Olympia Snowe yesterday evening on CSPAN. She talked about some of the problems in Congress that helped make her decision to leave an easy one. Very informative and much I didn’t know about. It really was good seeing her again. (But please ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies ;))

Maine has medical marijuana, doesn't it? Just get a prescription for medical marijuana (for your two year headache) and the two years should fly by. ;-D

I'm going to need some to deal with the governor. I can't believe we've elected him twice. :hammer:
You're preaching to the choir here. I can't believe LePage was elected again either. I like Mike Michaud and think he did a good job as our congressman but I really wish he hadn't run this time as I think had it been a race between LePage and Eliot Cutler, that Cutler would have won instead. I think Michaud's connection to Washington politics hurt him.
