I've bought my wife a different music box every year on our anniversary. Last weekend was our 19th so she has 19 music boxes now. I go to the same jewelry store every year because they have music boxes from but by the time I come back the next year, they have several new designs, cherry wood, other cool looking makes and models. So far I've managed to get 19 completely different styles which kind of look cool when you see them in our hutch. I have them engraved under the lid with the date and how many years it's celebrating. She likes them a lot or at least pretends to like them.....I honestly started out buying them because it seemed like a nice gift and I didn't have to worry about what I was going to buy her every year but after a few years, we both kind of liked the way the collection looked. What's cool is that she can pick up any one of the music boxes and tell me exactly what year it was from and what was going on around that time in our lives. I'm hoping my lack of imagination is made up for by dogged faithfulness to tradition.....

Sweet - I was in a music box shop once - in the Ozarks - you know the little village where you rent mopeds, I think the Passion Play is there. You could pick your own music to put in the box. I so wanted one but they are pricey. And this was back in 1986, might not be there anymore.

I got a KitchenAid Mixmaster in black. (Why, I do not know):umm:
I like to make bread and knead it by hand but he said this thing had a 'dough hook' :m_pan:
