I know hossenpepper like burritos and I love tacos, does anyone like tortas?

On the little board Muskie mentioned having fideo. We were talking about fideo and people asked what it was and why had they never seen it on a menu. Well, fideo isn't usually served in restaurants because it's considered food that poor people eat. It's vermicelli (with garlic and cumin) and MAYBE a handful of ground beef. One box of vermicelli and a little bit of meat will serve 4-6 people.
(Dahm! That's a big azz torta!)

We always made our fideo with some tomato sauce as well. Not a lot, just a small can or so. And yeah, gotta have some meat--ground beef, chopped sirloin, chicken, any kind of dead animal flesh, basically. I always have trouble with the amount of cumin I use--can't use too much, but can't use too little--gotta be just right or it's no good.
Oh, and ya gotta fry that vermicelli first, of course. Just brown it, then add the rest, simmer awhile. Anyhoo, that's how my late, great brother-in-law taught me. He had four teenage boys, so yeah, he knew lots of recipes for 'poor people' food.
If you watch Psycho backwards you see an young man in jail blow a fly off his face, before being helped by another man pick up a butcher's knife then put a lady's dress and wig on in front of a mummy, then the man who helped the young man get dressed and a woman walk backwards into an older man's home before the man argues in a foreign language with the young man in a motel lobby while the lady returns to him outside the lobby walking backwards out of a huge haunted house which she'd been walking backwards through browsing through, then an old lady helps a man climb a long staircase before going back in her bedroom backwards, then the young man magically causes a car to emerge from a bog before taking a folded newspaper and a dead lady out of its trunk and carrying the lady and the newspaper to a motel room where he unwraps her from a plastic tarp, puts a lot of blood all over the bathroom floor, some of which he pulls out of the toilet with a mop, and drags the dead lady, who we now see is naked, into the bathtub before running backward up some some steps to a huge haunted house and engages in a heated argument in a foreign language with a stranger, then the naked lady throws the bathtub curtain onto its rings while the tub's drain spews chocolate syrup up into the tub, then sits down in the tub, then stands up then sucks large quantities of air into her wide open mouth while an old lady pulls holes out of the naked lady's body with a butcher's knife and then leaves backwards through the bathroom door, before we see the naked lady with wet hair looking up into a large shower head which magically sucks streams of water out of her hair until it's dry, before we see the young man back slowly away from a hole in a wall and cover it with a picture in a frame, then runs backwards up the stone steps to the haunted house again to argue with, we assume, the same stranger as before.
Then we see the naked lady only she's fully dressed find $40,000 in a newspaper on the nightstand in her motel room, which she steals along with clothes she finds in the room and puts in her suitcase, before walking backwards into the motel lobby, into a cozy room where the young man is waiting for her, then they both curiously start pulling pieces of sandwiches out of their mouths and assembling them into whole sandwiches which they then put on plates, then the lady who's no longer naked gives a key to the young man, removes a name from the motel's register with a white out pen, walks backward to her car and drives in reverse onto a highway at night, then a voice speaking in a foreign language talks to her as she continues to drive in reverse until the sun comes up, at which time she pulls her car backwards into a used car lot, steals $7000 from a salesman and steals a car which she drives in reverse out of the parking lot and onto the highway, then the foreign voice starts speaking to her again, then she pulls her new car backwards and parks on the side of the road after telling a cop to leave her alone which he does as he drives his cop car away in reverse, then the lady lies down and goes to sleep, then she drives in reverse, listening to the foreign voice until she reaches a town where people are all walking backwards, and at a traffic light cars stop on the wrong sides of the light and wait for it to turn yellow before driving away from it in reverse.
Then we see the fully dressed lady in her apartment where she takes the $40,000 out of her suitcase and starts hanging the stolen clothes in her closet, then she drives backwards to a bank where she speaks in a foreign language to a leering cowboy and a skinny man who she gives the $40,000 to, then we see her taking off her shirt in a hotel room and lying down in a bed next to the same man who was talking in a foreign language to the young man in the motel lobby, then we are forced to fly backwards out of the window of the room and into the sky.
